Early Sunday morning, June 4, 2006, Tanker 22 was dispatched on a Berrysburg 26-4 box to 295 Weaver Road, in Mifflin Township, to assist at a barn fire. Other companies dispatched to the scene included Companies 26, 21, 20, 27, 28, and 216. Berrysburg's Chief 26 arrived on the scene to find a working fire, with hay bales burning. Engine 26 laid 5-inch hose in to the scene and Engine 20 picked it up and laid to a port-a-tank. The tanker fill site was at a dry hydrant at Alka Farms. Truck 20 assisted the Engine 26 crew with fighting the fire. A portable deck gun was used. Engine 28 operated the tanker fill site. Engine 21 first assisted Engine 28, but later moved to Zimmerman Road in Upper Paxton Township to set up a secondary fill site at a hydrant system there. Tanker 22, with a crew of two, performed water shuttle to the scene along with other tankers until released by command. The bales of hay were removed from the barn, an open-end metal building, to be extinguished. About 130,000 gallons of water were used at the fire. In addition to the units at the scene, Engine 201 stood by in quarters, Perry County Tanker 2 transferred to Station 20, Engine 38 transferred to Station 21 and Engine 29-1 stood by in quarters.
