Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #1686

Company 22 was dispatched to assist Company 23 with a report of smoke from a structure at 402 Wiconisco Street in Wiconisco. Engine 22 responded with a crew of five, and Truck 22 with a crew of five. Both units arrived on the side-B, with the truck crew laddering the building and going to the roof, and the engine crew going in with Engine 23's crew to perform initial attack. Chief 23 had command. Knockdown was completed very quickly, with fire confined to the third floor attic and water damage down to the second floor. A large hole had burned through the attic floor. Crews assisted with salvage and overhaul. Rescue 21 responded on the box and assisted with overhaul and relieving crews. Crews assisted until released by command.
