Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #2397

Company 21, 26 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to the 21-4 box at 884 Rakers Mill Road in Washington Township for a chimney fire. Truck 22 responded with 7, and on arrival, command assigned them to the D side of the 2 1/2 story wood frame single family dwelling where they set up and went to the roof. Crews split with the roof crew running chains and weights down the chimney to clear it while the rest of the crew worked the bottom of the chimney and the first floor interior. This continued until the chimney was cleaned out and no longer blocked. Command then placed the box in service.
