Multiple Structure Fire

On the night of Sunday, April 17, 1938, fire destroyed the home, shed, and barn of Jeremiah Miller in Dayton, Williams Township. Miller was overcome by smoke, but was rescued by two neighbors. The estimated loss was $1,500. Firemen from Wiconisco, Williamstown, and Sheridan responded to the call for help. They were hampered in their efforts to battle the fire due to lack of water. |
