Structure Fire

A fire completely destroyed the three room summerhouse on the farm of Monroe Shaffer, located about three miles northeast of Elizabethville, on Thursday, September 8, 1949. The fire was discovered by Shaffer's twelve year old daughter, Faye, around mid afternoon. Both Shaffer and his wife were at work at the time. |
