Engine 22 was dispatched to assist Company 21 with a report of a structure fire in the 6000 block of Route 209 at the Klinger residence in Washington Township. Engine 22 responded, and arrived on scene. The engine was staged by command, and the manpower was sent interior to assist with extinguishment. Crews assisted with suppression and salvage and overhaul until released by command.

Truck-22 was dispatched to Schuylkill County, Tower City Borough, for a possible structure fire. Truck-22 responded with a crew of four and was canceled shortly after arriving on scene.

Stove Fire, 216 Main Street (Box 21-1)

Truck 22 was dispatched on the first alarm for a report of a stove fire at 216 West Main Street in Elizabethville. Chief 21 arrived on scene within two minutes of dispatch, and after determining that the fire was out, he held the box to Engine 21, non-emergency. Truck 22 was canceled before response.

Porch Fire, 656 South Street (Box 22-1)

Companies 22, 23, 24, 21, 66, and Schuylkill 66-60 dispatched on the 22-1 box to 656 South Street in Lykens for a porch on fire. Engine 22 responded with 3, Truck 22 with 5, and Engine 23 with 4. Chief 22 responded POV to the scene and on arrival, canceled units from 21, 24, 66, and 66-60 and held the box to companies 22 and 23. Engine 23 arrived on aide A and pulled one line and extinguished what was left burning after the next door neighbor, Medic Chief 6A, had knocked down most of the fire with a garden hose. Engine and Truck 22 and Rescue 23 arrived on scene and assisted with overhaul, until all units were released by command.

Automatic Fire Alarm, 522 Market Street (Rear) (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class one to 522 Market Street to the rear, for a report of an alarm sounding from inside the apartment. Captain 22 was in the area and responded to the scene and found normal conditions. Engine 22 responded with 4 and took side A, and Truck 22 responded with 3 and took side C. Crews forced the apartment door open and found the source of the alarm, a company 22 pager going off as a result of an earlier page this morning. Command placed the box in service.
2019
Structure Fire, 178 Market Street (Box 23-2)

The 23-2 structure box dispatched class one to 178 Market Street in Wiconisco Township for a structure fire. Companies 23, 22, 24, 21 and 27 on the call with EMS from 24. Chief 22-2 who lives 4 doors down from the address responded to the front of the structure and reported smoke showing from a two and one half story duplex wood frame structure and proceeded to get all occupants out of both sides of the building. Truck 22 responded with 6 and arrived on side A and had smoke pushing out the second floor windows on the C/D corner. Engine 22 responded with 6 and laid a 5 inch line from the hydrant in the middle of the 300 block of Market Street in Lykens over the bridge to just behind Truck 22 on the A/B corner. As the Truck crew was laddering the building the engine crew pulled a line and took it to the C side of the structure as Engine 23 was pulling in on the D/A corner. Chief 23 arrived and assumed command of the incident. They took a line in the front door side A. Engine 21 arrived behind Engine 23 and staged and sent manpower forward to assist. Engine 24 arrived by way of the Lykens side of the structure and staged behind Engine 22 and sent manpower forward. Rescue 21 arrived and staged in the 200 block of Market Street with Utility 22 which responded with 3. Engine 27 arrived from the Market Street side and assumed the RIT assignment. Crews from all companies went interior and the bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly in a second floor bedroom on the C/D corner of the upper side duplex. The Truck crew vented the roof and additional crew members began clearing out debris on the A and C sides that were wet down by hose lines. Extensive overhaul was performed and command marked control. Crews began wrapping up lines and command placed units available as they picked up from the scene.
