At the request of Command 21, Truck 22 dispatched class one to 23 West Main Street in Elizabethville to assist Company 21 on a chimney fire. Truck 22 responded with 7, and was instructed to set up on the C side in the back yard of the structure. On arrival, the Truck set up in the back yard and sent the bucket to the roof, where crew members worked the chimney chains while the 21 crew worked on the furnace in the basement. After extinguishing the fire in the furnace and confirming no problems or obstructions with the chimney, Command placed the Truck available.
At the request of Command 23, Engine 22 dispatched class one to the 6400 block of Route 209 to set up an LZ for an incoming helicopter while Company 23 and Rescue 21 were on the scene of a head on crash involving two vehicles in that area. Company members, still in station after returning from the earlier call moments before (see call #34) responded immediately with Engine 22 with 6, and on arrival set up a landing zone for Life Lion helicopter. Chief 22 responded POV and assumed landing zone officer. After the patient was transferred to the helicopter and it went enroute, the Engine went available.

Medical Assist, 559 North Second Street (Box 22-1)
Company 22 dispatched class three to 559 North Second Street in Lykens to assist EMS with lifting an obese patient. Chief 22 responded POV, and Truck 22 went enroute with 6. On arrival, the crew assisted with placing the patient in the Medic 6 transport unit, and then went available.
At the request of Medic 6 on scene Company 22 dispatched class 1 to 529 Main Street in Lykens to assist with lifting a patient. Chiefs 22-1 and 22-2 responded to the scene along with 4 other members and Truck 22 went enroute with 5. On arrival the crew assisted EMS with packaging the patient and transferring them to the ambulance and then went available.
