Chimney Fire, Lou Miller's (Box 22-)

Company 22 was dispatched to South Street at the Lou Miller residence for a chimney fire. Engine 22 responded, and when arriving on scene, laddered the building and sent a crew to the roof to attempt to extinguish the fire. Numerous attempts were made with chimney "bombs" and CO2 extinguishers, to no avail. During the process, one attempt was made with a dry chem extinguisher, which caused some problems on the first floor. Finally, as a last resort, water was applied and the stubborn fire was put out.
2004
Accident with injuries, 26 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Company-22 was dispatched for an accident involving two vehicles in front of 26 Main Street, the home of Chief 22-2. Engine-22 responded class-1 and found two vehicles, one in the middle of the east bound lane, the other pulled off into a business parking lot. The driver of the vehicle which was still on the highway stated that she was not injured. The other driver was complaining of back and neck pain. Fire personnel assisted with treating the injuried driver until the arrivel of EMS. Fire personnel secured the scene until the arrival of State Police and a wrecker. The street was cleaned up, and the highway was reopened.

Garage Fire, 1299 Route 209 (Box 20-2)

Truck-22 was dispatched in place of Truck-20 on a report of a working garage fire on Route-209 near Millersburg. The truck was canceled before response when Truck-20 went responding.
2011
Medical Assist, 318 Market Street (Box 22-1)
Detail >>
At the request of medic 6 on scene, Company 22 dispatched class three to 318 Market Street in Lykens to assist with lifting. Engine 22 responded with 2, and Chiefs 22 and 22-2 and Captain 22 went directly to the scene. On arrival, the crew assisted EMS with bringing the patient down from a second floor bedroom to the transporting unit, and then went available.
