Accident w/inj, Main & West Streets (Box 22-19)

Engine 22 and Squad 23 were dispatched to the intersection of Main and West Streets for a reported accident with injuries and possible confinement. Chief 22 responded POV to the scene and had command. Engine 22 and Squad 23 responded, and on arrival, found one patient still in the vehicle with the door unable to be opened. Crews were able to extricate patient and assist EMS with transfer to the ambulance. After scene cleanup, the crews went available.

Structure Fire, 114 E Market St (Box 24-1)

Vehicle into a Structure, 710 Main Street (Box 22-2)

Engines 22 and 23 were dispatched to 710 Main Street for an accident, reported as a vehicle into a structure. Engine 22 responded with a crew of four, and Chief 22 responded POV. Engine 22 arrived and found PD and EMS already on location. A pickup truck that was heading West on Main Street had spun around 180? and slammed sideways into a two story duplex near the Catholic Church. The driver was unhurt and in the custody of PD. The vehicle had crashed into the front wall and a support concrete block wall of the home and came to rest against a 250 gallon fuel oil tank in the basement. The front porch of the home was sagging, and the floor of the first-floor living room had a noticable droop. No one was in the home at the time of the accident. Engine 23 arrived on scene, and the crews from both companies worked on supporting the front of the building. Extensive cribbing was performed. No fuel was found leaking from either the vehicle or the fuel oil tank. After the building was stabilized, Chief 21-3, from West End Garage, used his rollback to remove the pickup truck from the structure. The crews remained on scene until the vehicle was successfully removed, then they went available.
2011
Fire Drill, 10400 Route 209 (Box S.C.)

Truck 22 dispatched class three to 10400 Route 209 in Schuylkill County to the Williams Valley Elementary School for a fire drill. Dauphin companies 23 and 24 were all ready on scene along with Schuylkill companies Sheridan, Reinerton, and Williamstown and Tower Porter EMS. Truck 22 responded class three with 5, and on arrival set up on side A and was given the RIT assignment from command 647. After the completion of the drill, command released the Truck and the crew went available.

Medical Assist, Rear 627 Main Street (Box 22-1)

At the request of EMS, which had an extended ETA, Company 22 dispatched class three to the alley to the rear of the Dairy Queen at 627 Main Street in Lykens for a person down. Chief 22 responded POV, Engine 22 with 4 and Truck 22 with 2. Both rigs accessed the scene on North Second Street, and on arrival, started patient care until the arrival of EMS from medic 6. After assisted with patient packaging and transfer to their transport unit, command placed the company available.
2017
Gas leak, 233 North 2nd Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 and Engine 23 dispatched class one to 233 North Second Street in Lykens for a report of a gas leak. Chiefs 22 and 22-1 responded POV to the scene, a 2 1/2 story single family dwelling with the occupant sitting outside on their arrival. Engine 22 responded with 5, Truck 22 with 2, Utility 22 with 2, and Engine 23. On arrival, Engine 22 had the A/D corner while Truck 22 took side A. Engine 23 and Utility 22 staged behind Engine 22. Crews went interior with meters to check readings, while command requested EMS to check out the occupant. Medic 6 responded and on arrival checked the patient. The interior crews had 0 readings on all meters. Command placed the box in service.

Tree Down, 854 West Market Street (Box 24-3)

Truck 22 dispatched class three to 854 West Market Street in Williams Township to assist Company 24 with a tree down. Command 24 canceled the Truck before response.
