Truck 22 dispatched class one on the 27-1 box for a structure fire at 413 North Spruce Street in Gratz. Crew members were setting up for the annual carnival and responded with 7 in 1 minute. On arrival the Truck went to side A of a one story single family dwelling approximately 25 by 25 foot and the crew stood by for further orders from command 27. Initial attack crew found unattended cooking on the stove and extinguished it with a can. Command released the Truck and they went available.
Company 22 dispatched class three to the rear of 575 Main Street on North Third Street for a wire down. All three chiefs responded POV and on arrival discovered the wire to be a phone line. Chief 22 placed the box in service and the phone line was coiled up and removed from the roadway.
Engine 22 dispatched class one to One Stop Recycling at 1855 Pottsville Street in Wiconisco Township for a junkyard fire. Engine 22 responded with 6 and was assigned to establish a fillsite on Pottsville Street at the hydrant across from Medco. On arrival the crew established the fill site and filled tankers until released by command 23.
Company 22 dispatched class one to 406 North Second Street in Lykens for a small outside fire. Engine 22 responded with 5, Truck 22 with 4, and 5 members POV to the scene. On the arrival of Engine 22 Captain 22 found a small contained fire in a fire pit at the corrected address of 405 North second Street. He placed the box in service.
