A first alarm assignment was dispatched for a report of a stove fire at the Carsonville Hotel. Units dispatched included Companies 19 (engine, tanker), 29 (engine, tanker, utility), 216 (engine, tanker), 21 (engine, tanker, rescue), and 22 (truck, tanker). Engine-19 on scene advised that box could be held to Company-19, Engine-29, and Truck-22. Personnel on the scene performed ventilation, search, salvage, and overhaul of the area around the stove ventilation system in the rear kitchen area.
2013
Transformer fire, 527 South Second Street (Box 22-1)
Company 22 dispatched class three to 527 South Second Street in Lykens for a report of a transformer on fire. Lieutenant 22-1 responded from his residence 2 doors from the location, and on scene reported that the fire was out and the transformer tap fuse was burned out. Chief 22 responded POV and Engine 22 responded with 6. On arrival, Chief 22 called in the pole number and placed the box available.
Engine 22, Rescue 23, and Medic 6 dispatched class one to the area of the Glen Road by the second bridge for a motorcycle accident with injuries. Engine 22 responded with 6, Utility 22 with 5, Chiefs 22 and 22-2 POV, Rescue 23, and Medic 6. On arrival, they found a motorcycle down that had hit a pole with the driver injured. Crews assisted EMS with patient care and transfer to their unit, and then went available.
Truck 22 and Engine 24 from Dauphin County dispatched class one to Schuylkill County to the Heritage Mills Center at 846 East Wiconisco Avenue in Tower City for a second alarm structure fire. Truck 22 responded with 7 and Engine 22 with 4. On arrival the crews staged until released by command.
Company 21 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 185 Manors Road in Washington Township at the Township Building for an automatic fire alarm. Truck 22 responded with 7 and was canceled by Command 21 while enroute.
2024
Motorcycle accident with injuries, Powells Valley Road (Box 216-8)
Engine 22 and Rescue 23 dispatched class one to the 216-8 box on Powells Valley road by the Lykens reservoir for a motorcycle accident with injuries. Chief 22-1 went enroute POV and was advised of a single motorcycle and operator that struck and then gone over the guard rail and into the brush and trees. He requested that Life Lion be placed on standby. Engine 22 responded with 6 and Rescue 23 with 6 and Utility 22 with 2. Medic 6-2 arrived first on scene followed by Engine 22 and Rescue 23. EMS requested that Life Lion fly and Engine 23 was dispatched to handle the LZ at Station 23. Crew assisted EMS with packaging the patient and taking the patient to the LZ. Chief 23-1 handled LZ officer. After EMS cleared the scene the Engine and Utility remained on scene to assist PSP and Rescue 23 was released. Crew remained until the wrecker removed the cycle and then went available.
