Company 22 was dispatched at the request of EMS to 756 Main Street to assist with a patient having cardiac problems. Truck 22 responded with a crew of six and all three chiefs responded to the scene POV. Upon arrival, the crew assisted EMS with patient care and packaging. EMS requested aero-medical transport and Chief 22 requested Company 23 to set up the landing zone at the L & W Ballfield. Engine 23 responded and handled the landing zone. The Truck 22 crew continued with transferring the patient from the residence to the transport unit and then went available.
2008
Automatic Fire Alarm, 300 Chestnut Street (Box 22-2)
Company 22 and Engine 23 were dispatched class 1 to Alfa Laval, 300 Chestnut Street, for an automatic fire alarm. Engine 22 responded with a crew of four, Truck 22 responded with a crew of five, and Engine 23 responded with a crew of four. Engine 22 arrived on scene and found normal conditions. The crew received a report of a false trip from employees at the facility. The box was held to Company 22, while the engine crew investigated the building. With no abnormal findings, Command 22 place the box in service and the units returned available.
At the request of EMS, company 22 dispatched to assist with extricating and lifting of a patient from 625 North Second Street in Lykens Boro. Truck 22 responded class three with 7, and on arrival set up on side B. The crew went inside and assisted the EMS crew with the removal of a patient from a second floor bedroom to a transport unit out front, and went available.
Company 21 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to the Walmart Shopping Center at 200 Kocher Lane in Washington Township for an automatic fire alarm. Engine 21 responded with 5 and Truck 22 with 7. On arrival at a one story shopping center command had Truck 22 take side A and send a crew to the roof to check HVAC while the rest of the crew was sent interior with Company 21. After a thorough search of the building and nothing found, command placed the box available.
