August 17, 1904. Fire was discovered in the Lykens Valley Coal office. The fire was started by lightning striking telephone wire. The company responded in the charge of Vernon Mitchell.
Engine 22 was dispatched to the square in Lykens for a truck on fire. Engine 22 responded, and on arrival found a truck owned by Mr. Snyder that had hot brakes that were smoking. After letting the truck cool down briefly, Mr. Snyder drove off in his truck and the Engine went available.
Engine 22 was dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Route 209 and Hill Street. This location was actually in Wiconisco Township, a 23-1 box. Engine 22 responded with EMS and arrived on scene to find two vehicles with injured patients that were self-extricated from their vehicles. The crew asisted EMS with patient transfer to transporting units and cleaned up the scene before going available.

Medical Assist, 614 South Second Street (Box 22-1)
Company 22 dispatched class one to 614 South Second Street in Lykens for a patient with an asthma attack and difficulty breathing. Chief 22-2 responded to the scene POV, and Truck 22 responded with 5. On arrival, the crew initiated patient care until the arrival of an EMS unit from Williamstown, and then assisted with moving the patient from the residence to the transporting unit. Crew then went available.
Company 24, 23, Schuylkill 647, Rescue 21 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 303 East Market Street in Williamstown for a stove fire. Truck 22 responded with 5. Engine 23 was first to arrive on scene and Captain 23 assumed command until the arrival of Chief 24-1. The stove fire was out on arrival but there was smoke in the building. On arrival, Truck crew assisted with ventilation of the structure until released by command.
