Truck-22 was dispatched to respond class-3 to Lykens Township to assist companies 27, 26, and 28 on a silo fire. The truck responded with a crew of seven and, upon arrival, was assigned the task of delivering water from Engine-27 to the top of the silo. The truck pumped approximately 2,000 gallons of water into the silo per instructions of a Penn State Ag Representative. Truck-22 was then placed available by command.
Company 22 dispatched class three to hold in quarters for Company 24. They were on a reported gas leak in the area of Koppys Propane at 8464 Route 209 in Williams Township. Engine and Truck 22 held in quarters with a total of 11 personnel. Command 24 later requested that Company 22 respond class three to the scene and Engine 22 went enroute with 6 and Truck 22 with 5. On arrival the rigs staged in the Koppys parking lot and a crew from Engine 22 took both gas meters to the area behind one of the storage buildings to where the suspected source of the gas odor was located to take readings. The gas had begun to dissipate and meter readings were zero. After waiting for the remaining odor to clear Command 24 released Company 22.
