Companies 22, 23, 21, 24, 27, 6, and Schuylkill 66 dispatched class one to 119 Main Street in Lykens at the Bingaman's Exon Station for a structure fire. Engine 22 responded with 6, Truck 22 with 5, and Chief 22 POV. Engine 22 laid a 5 inch supply line from the hydrant at South Second and Edward, and on arrival at side A had a 2 story building 100 by 50 with a commercial garage on the first floor and two residential apartments on the second floor, with heavy smoke pushing out of the center apartment. Engine 23 arrived on the C side with their own water source, and two lines were advanced into the apartment. Truck 22 arrived on side B, set up, and went to the roof. Rescues 21 and 27 arrived on side B and staged in the Kevin's Place parking lot next door, along with Engine 24. Tower City Air Light 66-60 set up to fill air cylinders at the C/D corner. Crews found fire in the apartment around the couch and it had spread to the ceiling and floor. Crews had the fire extinguished in a few moments, and then continued with overhaul and salvage. After repacking the entire 1500 foot hose bed of Engine 22 with 5 inch the box was placed available.

Smoke in a structure, 620 Julian Street (Box 24-3)
Truck 22, along with companies 24, 23, and Schuylkill Engine 647, dispatched class one to 620 Julian Street in Williamstown for a report of smoke in a structure. Chief 24-1 held all units in quarters. Truck 22 stood by in quarters with 4.After investigation, he placed the box in service. It was the sewer authority testing and caused the smoke in the home.
Company 22 dispatched class three to 403 South Second Street in Lykens for a flooded basement. Utility 22 responded with 4. On arrival the crew set up a portable pump and pumped out the basement and then went available.
At the request of EMS Company 22 dispatched class one to 524 South Second Street in Lykens for a lift assist. Chief 22 and three other members responded POV and Truck 22 went with 3. On arrival the crew assisted EMS with patient extrication from the home to their transport unit and were then placed available.
