| | As a result of several storms passing through the area, numerous trees were down. Company-22 personnel were notified of a tree down on the road going over the Lykens Mountain. Several members cleared the road of debris and re-opened roadway. |

| | Company-22 was dispatched to assist Company-23 with a report of smoke in a structure on Pottsville Street. Engine, Truck, and Tanker 22 responded. Engine-22 arrived on scene and found a microwave oven had taken a surge and self started, with bread products which were being stored there catching fire. There had been a storm in the area that had resulted in a loss of power to the area, and the power had just been restored when a surge apparently started the microwave. Personnel assisted with ventilation of the structure until released by command. |

| | A first alarm assignment was dispatched for a report of gas in a structure at 31 Main Street. Engine and Truck 22, Engine and Squad 23, and Engine 24 responded. Engine-22, upon arrival, found an un-occupied mobile home with a stale, foul odor. No gas was supplied to the trailer and none was detected inside. Chief-22 placed the box in service. |

| | Due to high water caused by Hurricane Ivan, the home at 223 Market Street had a flooded basement. The water tipped over the furnace oil tank, filling the basement with fuel oil. Chief 22-1 was on the scene and requested a Haz-Mat unit to respond. Instead, Company 22 was dispatched to respond to the fuel spill. Chief 22-1 placed the units available immediately. |

| | Company 22 dispatched class three to 801 Market Street in Lykens to assist EMS with lifting a very obese patient into their transport unit. Chief 22 responded POV, Engine 22 with 3, and Utility 22 with 1. On arrival, crew assisted EMS with moving the patient from his residence to their unit and then went available.

| | Engine 24 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 507 West Market Street in Williamstown on the 24-1 box for a carbon monoxide alarm. Truck 22 went enroute with 7 and Engine 24 with 3. On arrival of the Truck they took side A of a 2 and a half story wood frame single family dwelling 20 by 40 with Company 24 personnel all ready on scene. Crew was instructed to go interior with the gas meter and take readings. All readings on all floors were 0 and it was determined to be a faulty detector. Command placed the box available. |
