Fire, American Briquette Plant

The one unit experimental plant of the American Briquette Company of Lykens was damaged on Monday morning, September 26, 1949, at 10:20AM, when fire was discovered near the roof in the vicinity of the steam boiler stack. Although Liberty Hose Company of Lykens responded quickly to a call for help, damage was estimated at several thousand dollars. Repairs were made and the plant was back in operation in a couple of weeks.
1994
Structure Fire, 180 Market St (Box 23-11)

Engine and Tanker 22 were dispatched to Wiconisco Township, just over the Market Street bridge, for a reported structure fire. The Engine and Tanker responded, and staged on the bridge per Command 23. It was determined to be a malfunctioning furnace. After assisting Company 23 with ventilating the structure, the company was placed available by command.
2007
Medical Assist, 756 Main Street (Box 22-2)

At the request of EMS, company 22 was dispatched class three for lifting assistance at 756 Main Street. As Truck 22 went responding, they were advised of a second EMS call at 665 Main Street. Captain 22 advised County that they would take the second call as soon as they cleared the first call. Truck 22 responded with a crew of four, staged on side A, and sent the crew inside to help package and remove a large patient from the house. After completing this assignment, the truck responded to the second medical assist call, which details are shown on 2007 call #54.

Medical Assist, 665 Main Street (Box 22-1)

As Truck 22 was responding to a medical assist call at 756 Main Street, they were advised of this second EMS call at 665 Main Street. Captain 22 advised County that they would take the second call as soon as they cleared the first call at 756 Main Street. Lykens PD was already on the scene of the second call. After completing the first call (2007 call #53), Truck 22 responded with its crew of four from the first call location to the 665 Main Street call, and staged on side A. The crew went inside to help package the patient and assist in carrying her out to the awaiting EMS unit from Medic 6.

Ceiling fan smoking, 501 West Market Street (Box 24-3)

Truck 22 dispatched on the 24-3 box to assist companies 24, 23, 66, and 650 for a report of a ceiling fan smoking in a multi-family dwelling at 501 West Market Street in Williamstown. Truck 22 responded with 7 and Chief 22 POV. The Truck was canceled by command prior to arrival on scene.
