Water Rescue, Glen Pool (Box 22-)

Companies 22 and 23 were dispatched to the Glen Pool for a report of a possible drowning victim. Members responded directly to the scene, and began searching the swimming pool looking for a boy that had been reported by some of his buddies as to have fallen into the water. After about 20 minutes of searching, a foot was spotted breaking the water's surface near the flood gates. Several members jumped into the water and found the boy partially trapped under a very large rock. Moving the rock, they were able to free the boy and bring him onto dry land, where resuscitation efforts were started. The boy was revived and transported to the hospital for further treatment. He survived the ordeal.

Structure Fire, 302 Pottsville Street (Box 23-11)

Box 23-1 was dispatched for a reported living room fire at 302 Pottsville Street in Wiconisco, calling for Engine, Squad, and Tanker 23, and Engine and Tanker 22. Chief 23-1 responded POV to the scene, and held Company 22 in quarters. Engine and Squad 23 arrived on scene, and shortly after that Chief 23-1 placed Company 22 available.

Accident with no injuries, Rt 209 1/4 mile east of Lykens (Box 23-5)

While Engine and Truck 22 were enroute to the Dauphin County convention parade in Williamstown, they came across an accident with no injuries, a car had struck a deer, 1/4 mile east of Lykens on Route 209. The crew directed traffic around the scene, checked for any injuries, and requested a response from PSP. After clearing the car off Route 209 the company went available.
2022
Tree on wires, 260 Glen Road (Box 22-2)
Detail >>
At the request of Captain 22 on location Company 22 dispatched class three to 260 Glen Road in Lykens for a tree down across power lines. Chief 22 responded POV and Engine 22 went enroute with 3. On arrival command called in a pole number for PPL and the crew established a safe zone until the arrival of PPL to remove the tree from the power lines. After they accomplished that the crew cleaned up the roadway and reopened it. Command placed the box available.
