The company then proceeded to the Lykens Glen Park on Glen Road and arrived to find two 50 foot by 3 foot areas of hot charcoal still burning, having been abandoned by individuals contracted to cook a chicken BBQ. Numerous civilians were walking through and past the area of hot coals at great risk. County was called to advise them that the source of the fire had been located and to cancel the tanker, that the engine crew would handle the call. The tanker, after experiencing some minor problems turning around, returned to quarters. The engine crew extinguished the fire using one 1?-inch trash line and tank water.
