| | Fire of an undetermined origin occurred in the parlor of the home of Mrs. Agnes Miller, Lykens, Saturday morning, October 29, 1938, at 3 o'clock. Aside from the interior of the room marred by smoke, a floor lamp and an over-stuffed chair were destroyed. |

| | Engine 22 was dispatched to the rear of Don's Food Rite for a reported tree on fire. Heavy snow in the area had settled on tree limbs which still had leaves. The limbs came in contact with power lines, causing arcing which occasionally set the leaves on fire. The crew stood by and awaited the arrival of PPL to clear the tree limbs. The crew witnessed an interesting light show caused by the event and observed several loud explosions with blinding light. Don's Food Rite provided warm coffee to the crew. Once the utility company arrived, the crew went in service. |

| | Company 22 and Engine 23 dispatched to 627 Main Street at the Dairy Queen in the Boro for an automatic fire alarm. Chief 22 responded POV, and on arrival, confirmed a false activation and placed the box in service prior to any apparatus responding. |

| | Company 22 dispatched class three to the 500 block of Main Street in Lykens for a tree down across the road. Engine 22 responded with 5 and Utility 22 with 4, and Chief 22 and Lieutenant 22 POV to the scene. On arrival, fire police had Main Street shut down, and the crew cut up the tree with a couple of chainsaws, reopened the road, and went available. |

| | Chief 22 received a phone call at the station for a report of a tree down on the Glen Road near the second bridge in Lykens Boro. Utility 22 responded with 5 and Lieutenant 22 with one additional firefighter responded with 2, all class three. On arrival, the crew cleared the roadway of several small trees and re-opened the road, and went available. |

| | While crews were manning the station on standby as hurricane Sandy was making landfall, the 22-1 box was dispatched for a report of something burning at 759 Main Street in Lykens, sending companies 22, 23, 24, and 21. Chief 22 responded POV, and Engine 22 responded with 6, Truck 22 with 7, and Utility 22 with 4. On arrival Engine 23 had side A/D with the Truck side A and Engine 22 with the hydrant and laid in to side A/B. Investigation of the interior determined that water in the basement had reached the furnace motor. Command held the box to companies 22 and 23. After venting the house and pumping out the basement, the box was placed available. |

| | At the request of Chief 22 on scene, Company 22 dispatched class three to the square in Lykens at Main and Market Streets for a non injury accident. A pickup truck hauling a trailer failed to negioate the turn on to north Market Street and clipped a telephone pole and a flower planter. Engine 22 responded with 4 and Utility 22 with 1. Five members responded to the scene POV. On arrival, the crew controlled traffic and assisted the pickup driver with freeing his vehicle and trailer. After the arrival of PSP command placed the company available. |

| | Tower 22 dispatched class one to 208 Pearl street in Upper Paxton Township for a working structure fire. Tower 22 responded with 6 and accessed the scene from Wiconisco street and beached the rig and sent manpower forward with PPV fans. Property was a 26 foot by 30 foot one an a half story single family residence with a knockdown of the fire before the Tower's arrival. Besides ventilation the crew was also sent interior to assist with salvage and overhaul until released by Command 20. |
