| | Engine-22 was dispatched to assist with a large mountain fire in Upper Paxton Township. The fire had been burning for over a day. Engine-22 arrived on scene and was grouped with Tanker-27 and a brush unit from another county for the assigned task of protecting the Engle residence. Personnel remained on scene for approximately 14 hours until released by command. |

| | A commercial first alarm assignment was dispatched for a report of a fire in the basement of the Catholic Church School. Engine-22 arrived on scene just ahead of Engine-23 and discovered a smoke alarm sounding in the basement of the school. Investigation turned up nothing and a faulty smoke detector was determined to be the cause of alarm. |

| | Truck 22 dispatched to Schuylkill County, Porter Township, the village of Muir at 202 West Church Street for a dryer fire. Companies 650, 655, 659, 647, 810, 66 and Dauphin 24 also dispatched. Truck 22 responded with 8 and on arrival side A/D, were instructed to provide PPV ventilation to the first floor. Crews from the Porter Township companies had disconnected the dryer and removed it from the structure and a smoke condition extended from the basement to the first floor. Truck 22 vented the first floor and basement with the PPV fan and assisted with checking for any possible extensions and found none. After completing their task, command placed the Truck available. |

| | Company 22 dispatched class one to 801 Market Street to assist EMS with lifting an extremely obese patient. Chief 22 responded POV, and Utility 22 went enroute with 3. On arrival, command determined that more resources would be needed, and Rescue 23 was dispatched class one to assist with tools and manpower. Additional Company 22 personnel responded to the scene POV. Rescue 23 responded class one with 4, and on arrival, the crews from 22 and 23, as well as EMS from 24 and two units from Medic 6 (totaling approximately 20 persons) were able to get the patient into the transporting EMS unit. |

Large Brush Fire, 6068 Route 209 (Box 21-6) |

| | Companies 21 and 26 initially dispatched to the area of 6068 Route 209 near the Short Mountain Conservation Club in Washington Township for a large field fire. As units responded the size of the incident was found to be large and additional resources were requested and added to the response. Multiple brush units from Dauphin, Schuylkill, Northumberland, Perry and Cumberland Counties soon joined the event. Gratz Engine 27 was dispatched and later requested to establish a tanker fill site in Lykens Boro at Main and Arlington Streets at the hydrant, which was approximate 2 miles from the fires location. Utility 22 marked up on the radio and advised that they would respond and assist Engine 27 with that task. The Utility responded with 2 and 6 additional members went POV to assist. Once at the hydrant the fill site was established and a total of 10 tanker fills took place involving tankers 23, 24, 26 and 27 totaling approximately 25,100 gallons of water. Members continued to assist until Command 21 placed the fill site in service. |

| | Engine 22 dispatched class one on the first alarm to 1882 Armstrong Valley Road in Jackson Township to Heim's garage in the village of Fisherville for a commercial structure fire. Engine 22 responded with 5 and Utility 22 with 3. Both units were placed available by command while enroute when control was marked. |

| | Engine 22 dispatched class one to 5211 Route 209 in Washington Township for a structure fire. Engine 22 responded with 5 and Utility 22 with 2. On arrival at a 14 by 60 foot mobile home that was well involved the rig was beached on Rakers Mill Road in a cornfield and the crew went to work in suppression and overhaul. Additional resources were called in and a knockdown was achieved. The crew continued to assist on scene until released by Command 21. |
