| | Lykens, Wiconisco, and Williamstown answered a call to a fire located behind the homes of Ray Hoover and Lenwood Bixler in Coaldale on Tuesday afternoon, March 11, 1969. It was reported that Hoover had emptied hot ashes which started a brush fire. |

| | Companies 23 and 22 were dispatched to 614 South Street in Wiconisco for a natural gas tank that had ruptured and was possibly on fire. Chief 23, Ron Pinchorski, responded but could not locate that address. Engine 22 and Tanker 22 responded. Chief 23 questioned the dispatcher about the location. Engine and Tanker 22 were almost on location when Engine 23 also responded. But, that address or incident were not yet found. The dispatcher returned a phone call to the residence and learned that the correct address was 413 South Street and the original caller was an elderly female, who was on medication and confused. There was no fire or problem at that location. Chief 23 checked the residence and canceled all apparatus.

| | Early in the morning of March 11th, Company 22 was alerted to fast rising water from the Rattling and Wiconisco creeks. Chief 22-2 requested that Company 22 be alerted to prepare to evacuate residents and pump basements in various locations throughout the Boro. 13 members responded to the public service call. Various locations throughout the Boro were affected, with members pumping or assisting residents at 342 Railroad Street, 629 North Street, 189 North Street, 403 South Second Street, 310 Spruce Street, 660 North Street, 191 North Street, and the entire 200 block of Market Street. After the high water receded, pumping details were finished, and a long day concluded with the release of all members by Chief 22 from their duties. |

| | Engine 22 and Rescue 23, along with EMS and PSP, dispatched class one to the intersection of Main and Edward Streets in Lykens for a two vehicle accident with no injuries. Chief 22 responded POV along with two other members, Engine 22 went enroute with 6 and Rescue 23 with 5. On arrival, there was a pickup with heavy front end damage in the middle of the intersection of Main and Edwards Streets, and a second vehicle over the sidewalk and into a telephone pole in front of 226 Main Street. Everyone was out of the vehicles. Crews secured the scene, re routed traffic, and cleaned up fluid leakage along with cleaning up the debris field. After a tow truck removed the vehicles, command placed the box in service. |

| | At the request of Medic 6-1 on scene Company 22 dispatched class one to 801 Market street in Lykens for a lift assist. Engine 22 responded with 4 and 3 additional members came POV to the scene. On arrival the crew assisted EMS with moving the patient from their residence to the ambulance for transport and then went available. |
