Barn Fire, 467 St Johns Road (Box 26-3)

Truck 22 dispatched class one on the 26-3 box at 467 St. Johns Road in Mifflin Township for a barn fire. Truck 22 went enroute with 6 and was advised of a working fire. Flames could be seen as the Truck went through Loyalton. The Truck arrived on scene and staged on the hard road and sent crew back to assist with suppression activities until released by command.
2019
Accident with no injuries, Main & Edwards Streets (Box 22-1)

At the request of Lykens PD Company 22 dispatched class three to the intersection of Main and Edward Streets for a two vehicle crash with no injuries. The Company was requested for traffic control and scene safety. Utility 22 responded with 4 and Chief 22 and one firefighter responded POV. On arrival, traffic was detoured at Main and Division and Main and West Streets. After tow companies removed the two vehicles the Company was placed available.

Structure Fire, 104 Pond Road (Box 27-3)

Truck 22 dispatched class one on the 27-3 box to 104 Pond Road in Lykens Township for a reported structure fire. Companies 27, 26, 28, 23 and Northumberland 65 also on the call. Truck 22 went enroute with 7 and was canceled shortly after response.

Medical Assist for lifting, 620 South 2nd Street (Rear) (Box 22-1)

At the request of Medic 6-3, Company 22 dispatched class 3 to the rear apartment at 620 South Second Street in Lykens to assist with a patient lift. Engine 22 responded class 3 with three, and Chiefs 22 and 22-2 responded class 3 to the scene. On arrival, the crew assisted EMS with a patient that had slid out of bed and wanted to get up and into a chair. After successful completion of the task, the Company went available.

Chimney Fire, William Jacobs, South Street

A chimney fire was discovered in the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Jacobs on South Street on the morning of Saturday, May 12, 1934. The fire was extinguished by the Lykens firemen shortly after its discovery. It was contained to the chimney and the damage was slight.

Two Vehicle Accident - Route 209 - Williams Twp, Dauphin Co, PA

A vehicle accident caused the driver of a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle to be flown to Hershey Medical Center for treatment injuries on May 12, 2007. The motorcycle was being driven westbound on Route 209. At around 7:25 a.m., the driver of a 1988 Ford Festiva, travelling eastbound, failed to see the motorcycle and attempted to make a left turn onto Railroad Street near Williamstown. The two vehicles collided. The driver of the Festiva was transported to Harrisburg Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The motorcycle driver was not wearing a helmet.

Electric Fire Siren Approved - Lykens, PA

The Lykens Borough Council approved the purchase of an electric siren to be used as a fire alarm, to replace the old bell. The cost of the siren was $440.
