Medical Assist, 6207 Route 209 (Box 21-6)

Utility 22 dispatched class one to 6207 Route 209 in Washington Township to assist Medic 6 and Company 21 on gaining access to a patient for extrication. Utility 22 responded with 3 and Chief 22 and one firefighter responded POV to the scene. On arrival, the crews assisted members of Company 21 with debris removal and attempts to gain access to the trailer through a door on the C side. Rescue and Air 23 were added to the call. The 24 EMS rehab unit was also sent to the scene. Crews going interior packed up to continue working their way into the trailer. Eventually access to the patient was achieved and extrication was completed. After the patient was transferred to a Medic 6 transport unit the box was placed available.
2021
Search detail, 3110 Armstrong Valley Road (Box 216-2)

Company 216 dispatched to the area of 3110 Armstrong Valley Road to search for a small child. Chief 216 requested additional resources and Companies 21, 26, 22 and 29 were dispatched and asked to stage at Station 216. Utility 22 responded class three with 4 and 9 additional members stayed at Station 22. Utility 22 arrived at Station 216 and staged as other units arrived and command began setting the search up. Shortly afterward the child was found. After clearing the command post the Utility went available.
2012
Structure Fire, 20 Cross Country Road (Box N.C.)

Truck 22 dispatched class one to Northumberland County, Upper Mahantongo Township, 20 Cross Country Road, for a reported commercial structure fire. Schuylkill Company 65 (Klingerstown),10 (Pittman), Northumberland companies 62 (Dalmatia), 63 (Herndon), 64 (Hickory Corners), Sunbury rehab and Dauphin County companies 26 (Berrysburg), 27 (Gratz), and 28 (Pillow) also sent on the first alarm. Truck 22 responded with 7, Utility 22 with 2, and Chief 22-1 POV responded class one. On arrival, crews had a 1 and one half story 50 foot by 100 foot metal commercial welding shop well off with heavy smoke and fire visible. Truck 22 initially beached the rig and the crew took hand tools to side C and worked on ventilation and extinguishment. After the crew came out for a brief rest (temps were over 100 degrees) the Truck was re-positioned on side B and went into aerial operations removing parts of the metal walls and breaching the roof to check for hidden pockets of fire. Crews continued overhaul until released by command.

Automatic Fire Alarm, 4045 Back Road (Box 19-1)

Engine 19-1 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 4045 Back Road in Jefferson Township for an automatic fire alarm. Chief 19-1 responded POV followed by Truck 22 with 7 and Engine 19-1. Chief 19-1 placed the Truck available and held the box to Engine 19-1.

Rubbish Fire, Rear 559 Main Street (Box 22-1)

At the request of Chief 22 on scene, Engine 22 was dispatched class three to the alley behind 559 Main Street to extinguish a rubbish barrel that was smoldering. Previously, Chief 22-1 came across the barrel burning and put most of it out with water, but contacted Chief 22 to come to the scene. Engine 22 responded with a crew of five and used a PW to put out several hot spots after dumping the barrel contents on the ground. A person located at the address then requested assistance, and EMS and PSP were requested to the scene. Engine 22 and its crew remained on scene until EMS and PSP arrived, and then went available.

Medical Assist, 210 North Second Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 was dispatched to assist EMS with lifting at 210 North Second Street. Truck 22 responded with a crew of six, and assisted EMS with transferring a patient to an awaiting ambulance for transport to the hospital. The crew then went available.

Chimney Fire, 417 Center St (Box 23-1)
Detail >>
Tanker 22 was dispatched to Wiconisco Township for a reported Chimney fire. Tanker 22 responded with a crew of two, and shortly after arrival was placed in service by Chief 23-2.

Company 22 was dispatched to assist Company 23 on a reported structure fire on Pottsville Street in Wiconisco. Engine 22 and Engine 23 both responded. Chief 23 canceled Truck 22. Command advised Engine 22 to stage in front of the township garage (former firehouse) on Pottsville Street. Command then held the box to Company 23, and the Engine went available.
