2020
Rescue a hunter, White Oak Road (Box 19-1)

At the request of Chief 19-1 Company 22 dispatched class one to the area near Minnich Hit picnic area in Jefferson Township to assist with helping a hunter out of the woods that had fallen down an embankment. Truck 22 responded with 6, Engine 22 with 4, 5 members POV, and Utility 22 with 4 after the cleared from the earlier mountain fire in Middle Paxton Township. Initial the Company staged at the parking lot at Powells Valley Road and Lykens Road, and then were re directed to the Minnich Hit picnic area to stage. On arrival at staging the crew took the rope haul system and stokes basket from the truck kand went out White Oak Road until they reached the approximate area where the hunter was down. Using a haul system the crew was able to remove the hunter from his predicament and out to a pickup on a stokes basket that took him back to the staging area for transfer to an awaiting 24 EMS ambulance.After transfer the Company was placed available by command.

Brush Fire, Peters Mountain (Box 38-3)

Utility 22 dispatched class one to Middle Paxton Township at the south side of Peters Mountain near the Appalachian Trail for a brush fire to supply additional manpower. Utility 22 responded with brush gear and four personnel with 1 additional member POV. On arrival they were assigned to work the top area of the fire by command 38. Crews assisted with extinguishment until released by command.

Kitchen Fire, 1238 Erdman Road (Box 27-3)

Truck 22 dispatched class one on the 27-3 box to 1238 Erdman Road in Lykens Township for a reported kitchen fire. Truck 22 responded with 7 and Utility 22 with 4 and were canceled while enroute.
2019
Cardiac arrest AED response, 306 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class one to 306 Main Street in Lykens for a cardiac arrest. Chief 22 responded POV and on arrival confirmed CPR was in progress. Chief 22-2 and one other firefighter who were at Station 22 climbed aboard the not yet in service Rescue 24 which was visiting the station and went enroute to the scene. Later Utility 22 responded with 1. On arrival, the crew assisted EMS from Medic 6 with CPR and packaging the patient to transfer to their unit. After transfer command placed the company available.

Medical Assist, 15 South Second St (Box 22-1)

At the request of Medic 6 Company 22 dispatched class one to the Rattling Creek Apartments at 15 South Second Street in Lykens for forcible entry. Engine 22 responded with 3 and on arrival used the Knox key to unlock the patients room door and allow EMS access. The Engine was then placed available.

Traffic Control, 1823 Pottsville Street (Box 23-3)

Company 22 fire police dispatched class three as next due for 23 to 1823 Pottsville Street in Wiconisco Township to assist PSP with traffic control as a result of a car striking a deer. Utility 22 responded with 3, and on arrival, found Chief 23 and Captain 23 on scene with PSP. Chief 23 placed the Utility available.
2008
Set up Landing Zone, Station 23 (Box 23-1)

Engine 22 was dispatched to respond to the parking lot of Station 23 to set up a landing zone for an incoming helicopter while Squad 23 was on the scene of a Center Street call in Wiconisco Township assisting EMS. Engine 22 was canceled before response by Chief 23 on board Engine 23, which handled the landing zone.
2005
Tree down, Powells Valley Road (Box 216-8)

County alerted Company-22 officers to a report of a tree down blocking Powells Valley Road near the Lykens Reservior. Engine-22 responded non-emergency with a crew of four and two fire police to assist. The engine arrived to find one large tree down across the road, blocking traffic. PSP was on the scene. Using chain saws, the engine crew cleared the road to traffic and went available.

Fire, Paul Service Station

The service station of Mr. C. L. Paul in Big Run, west of Lykens, was damaged to the extent of $600 by fire of unknown origin on Saturday morning, November 29, 1947. The fire, when discovered by Mr. Paul, was confined to the upper section of the station. Firemen of Lykens and Wiconisco extinguished the blaze. The loss was covered by insurance.
