Set-up Landing Zone, L&W Ball Field (Box 23-19)

Engine 22 was dispatched to set up a landing zone at the L & W Ball Field. Company 23 was handling a crash involving a car struck by a deer east of Lykens on Route 209 near Ellie Mae's Ice Cream and a patient was to be flown to a hospital. Engine 22 responded to the ball field and set up the landing zone, with Chief 22 responding POV and having the LZ command. After the patient was transferred to the Life Lion helicopter, Engine 22 went available.

Accident w/injuries, Main & West Sts (Box 22-19)

Engine 22 and Squad 23 were dispatched to a report of an accident with injuries at the intersection of West and Main Streets. Engine 22 and Chief 22 (via POV) responded to the scene. Squad 23 also responded. The units assisted EMS with patient transfer to a transport unit, cleaned up the scene, and then went available.

Structure Fire, 236 South 4th Street (Box S.C.)

Truck 22 dispatched class one to Tower City Boro in Schuylkill County for a working structure fire at 236 South 4th Street. All ready dispatched on the call were Schuylkill County companies Tower City, Muir, Orwin, Joliett and Sheridan along with EMS from Tower City and Williamstown. Truck 22 responded with 7 and Engine 22 with 3. On arrival, the truck staged on side A on 4th Street and laddered the building, which was a 1 story single family wood frame structure. Crews went to the C side of the structure and vented the rear wall, and set up fans for negative pressure ventilation. Crews assisted the Porter Township companies and Tower City with overhaul until released by command.
