Accident w/inj, Carsonville Rd (Box 19-49)

Engine 22 was dispatched, along with Engine 19 and Squad 23, to a report of an accident with injuries at the top of the Lykens Mountain on Powells Valley Road. A crew was still in station 22, having just closed down the carnival for that evening. Chief 22 responded POV, and Engine 22 responded with six personnel, followed shortly by Squad 23. The crews arrived on scene to find a one car crash with numerous youths injured. Crews assisted with vehicle stabilization and patient removal to awaiting EMS units.
1997
Structure Fire, 218 Steves Lane (Box 21-11)

Engine 22 dispatched to respond to a working structure fire at 218 Steves Lane in Washington Township. Companies all ready on scene were Elizabethville, Millersburg, Berrysburg, and Fisherville. Command 21 requested Engine 22 for additional manpower. Engine 22 responded with 6, and on arrival were advised by command to assemble their manpower, gather their tools, and set up in the staging area on Side A of the structure to assume the RIT assignment. Crews were working throughout the building with smoke and fire showing. During the event, command lost contact with a 21 crew working in the basement of the fire building, and 22's crew was deployed to search for them. The crew made entry and upon entering the basement, found the crew safe and reported this to command. The 22 crew exited the building and returned to staging to await further assignment. After control was marked, crew assisted with overhaul until released by command.

Smoke in Structure, 123 Washington Street (Box S.C.)

At the request of Schuylkill County, Truck-22 was dispatched to the village of Muir for a report of smoke in a structure. Chief-650 on the scene determined that the smoke was due to a furnace malfunction and held units to his own company. Truck-22 was canceled enroute.
2004
Wires Down, 432 North Street (Box 22-1)

Chief 22-2 requested Engine-22 to be dispatched for wires down in the 400-Block of North Street. A truck got hung up on some TV cable while traveling on North Street. Chief 22-2 and firefighter Smeltz freed the truck from the cable using ingenuity and available tools on hand. Engine-22 was canceled while enroute.
2005
Accident with injuries, 6326 Route 209 (Box 23-3)

Engine-22 was dispatched class-3 per request of chief 23-2 to assist Company-23 at the scene of an accident with injuries at the intersection of Route-209 and Coaldale Road. Engine-22 responded with a crew of five, along with Chief-22, who responded POV. Engine-22 arrived on scene and set up to provide scene safety for crews working on patient removal. The engine crew stood by with a PW and provided assistance to Companies 23, 21, and 6 until released by command.
2011
Smoke in a structure, 4242 Route 225 (Box 21-4)

Shortly after the Company 22 carnival parade had just finished up for the first night of the yearly carnival, the tones dropped for a 21-4 box, a report of smoke from a structure at the Lesher's Meat Market at 4242 Route 225 in Washington Township. The majority of units due responded from Lykens, Including Truck 22 with 7, Rescue 21, Engines 26 and 27, and Truck 20. Engine 21 responded from their station, along with Tanker and Squad 26 from their station. On arrival, Truck 22 was assigned side A and prepared to go to the roof and had laddered the building when command 21 placed the box in service. The smoke was coming from the interior of the Lesher smoke house and was normal.

Structure Fire, 827 Pottsville Street (Box 23-1)

Companies 23, 22 and 24 dispatched class one to the area near Pottsville Street and Kramer Lane for a report of a house fire. Chief 23 went responding POV, and was updated that a second call reported it to be a outside bonfire. Chief 23 canceled companies 22 and 24 before response and held the box to Engine 23 class three. Company 22 had 12 members in station ready to respond when canceled.
2014
Medical Assist, 559 North Second Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class three to 559 North Second Street in Lykens to assist Medic 6 with moving an obese patient. Truck 22 responded with 6, Utility 22 with 2, and Chief 22 POV. On arrival, the crew assisted EMS with lifting the patient from her home to the litter and into the transport unit, and then went available.
2014
Accident with injuries, 260 Glen Road (Box 22-2)

Engine 22 and Rescue 23 dispatched class one to the area of Glen Road by the County Park for a reported accident with injury. Engine 22 responded with 6, Utility 22 with 2, Chief 22 POV and Rescue 23 with 4. Chief 22 arrived on the initial scene to find Wiconisco Twp PD 4601 and a large debris field on the highway but no vehicle. He was advised that the vehicle left the scene and was being followed by PSP. Command placed Rescue 23 in service. PSP then reported the vehicle was found further out Glen Road by the third bridge where it struck the guard rails and came to rest. EMS from 24 were on scene with the patient. The Engine re-positioned out at the new accident scene while the Utility remained at the first debris field and cleaned up the highway. After removal of the patient, the crew assisted with removal of the vehicle and scene cleanup before being placed available by command.

Structure Fire, 555 Isle of Q Road (Box 20-4)

Truck 22 dispatched class one next due for Truck 20 to 555 Isle of Q Road in Upper Paxton Township for a smell of electrical burning inside a structure. Truck 22 was canceled before response by Command 20.

Medical Assist, 601 Main Street (Box 22-1)
Detail >>
Company 22 dispatched class three to assist Medic 6 with lifting a patient. Chiefs 22 and 22-2 responded POV to the scene and Utility 22 went enroute with 2. On arrival, the crew assisted EMS with moving a patient to her bed and then went available.
2021
Medical Assist, 608 West Market Street (Box 24-3)

At the request of Chief 24 Utility 22 dispatched class one to 608 West Market Street in Williamstown to assist Company 24 with CPR on a cardiac arrest. Utility 22 responded with 4 and 8 members remained in station. One member responded POV to the scene. On arrival the crew entered the structure to perform CPR. EMS shortly thereafter declared a signal 12 and the Company was released from the scene.
