Flooding, Borough of Lykens (Box 22-1)

Company-22 was dispatched to various locations throughout the Borough for reports of basement flooding as a result of heavy rains that have been in the area for several days. Addresses serviced were 403 South Second Street, 212 North Second Street, 203 Main Street, 660 and 656 North Street. Basements were pumped, sump pumps were started, and other duties were performed by company members throughout the night.

Medical Assist, 801 Market Street (Box 22-2)

Company 22 dispatched class three to 801 Market Street in Lykens to assist EMS with moving an extremely obese patient from their unit to his residence. Utility 22 responded class 3, and on arrival, assisted EMS with the transfer and then went available.
2015
Smoke in a Structure, 420 Division Street (Box 22-1)

The 22-1 box was dispatched class one for a report of smoke in an apartment located at 420 Division Street in Lykens. This sent Engines 22, 23, and 24, Rescues 23 and 21, and Truck 22. Chiefs 22 and 23 responded POV to the scene, Engine 22 with 5, Truck 22 with 4, and Utility 22 with 2. On the arrival of the Chief, he established command and had a one story duplex apartment building and found that the occupant of the apartment had a smoke alarm sounding with no smoke. It was determined to be a false trip and command placed the box in service.
2017
Wires down, 177 North Street (Box 22-1)

Engine 22 dispatched class three to 177 North Street in Lykens for wires down. Engine 22 responded with 4, Utility 22 with 1, and Chiefs 22 and 22-1 POV. On arrival, the service wires, phone and cable lines to the address were down as a result of the pole along side the trailer coming down. The PPL pole number was called in and after the arrival of PPL, the units went available.
2019
Tree on a truck, 565 Main St Rear (Box 22-1)

At the request of Chief 22-1 on scene Utility 22 dispatched class three to North 3rd Street behind 565 Main Street for a truck that struck a tree limb and came down blocking the alley. Chiefs 22 and 22-1 were on scene POV. Utility 22 responded with 2 and approached the scene from the Pine Street side. Using chain saws the crew cut up the tree and Lykens Boro provided a back hoe and dump truck to haul the debris away. Lykens PD was on scene. After the truck was towed away command placed the box available.
2020
accident with injury, 4381 Route 209 (Box 21-1)

While returning home, Chief 22 came across an accident at 4314 Route 209 in Washington Township. It was one vehicle that had struck a pole and knocking it down with the driver injured. After calling the event in to the 911 Center Company 21 was dispatched class one. Capt 21 responded POV and Rescue 21 with 3. On their arrival, Chief 22 assisted Company 21 on the event until released by command.

AFA, 5668 Route 209 (Box 21-8)

Company 21, Truck 22 and Engine 23 dispatched class one to 5668 Route 209 in Washington Township at the Upper Dauphin Area Middle/Elementary School for an automatic fire alarm. Truck 22 responded with 5 and on arrival staged on side A until released by Command 21.
2023
Commercial Structure Fire, 347 Weaver Road (Box 26-4)

Engine and Truck 22 dispatched on the first alarm to 347 Weaver Road in Mifflin Township at S and L Spindles for a working commercial structure fire. Engine 22 responded with 4 and Truck 22 with 3 and 3 additional members went POV to the scene. This fire would eventually reach 3 alarms. On arrival at an extremely large manufacturing facility with very heavy fire showing the Engine beached and sent manpower forward. The Truck set up on side B and put the aerial in service. Supplied by Engine 27 the Truck put two stangs in service from the bucket and along with Trucks 20 from Millersburg and Perry Truck 2 from Duncannon put water from above on the fire knocking down a significant amount of visible fire. Rescue 28 set up on the A/B side and drafted from a porta tank and supplied Engine 27 on side B who in turn supplied Truck 22. Engine 20 drafted from a porta tank on side A/D and supplied Truck 20 on side C and Engine 26 on side A who in turn supplied Perry Truck 2. Interior crews from many companies began overhaul from the interior which went on for quite some time. Crews continued with fire suppression until eventually released by Command 26. The following companies were dispatched to the call: Dauphin County Station 19 Carsonville Engine and Tanker Station 20 Millersburg Engine Truck and Tanker Station 21 Elizabethville Engine Rescue and Tanker Station 216 Fisherville Engine Squad and Tanker Station 22 Lykens Engine and Truck Station 23 Engine Rescue Tanker Air and Utility Station 24 Williamstown Tanker Station 26 Engine Tanker and Utility Station 27 Gratz Engine Rescue and Tanker Station 28 Pillow Engine Rescue and Tanker Station 29 Halifax Two Engines and Tanker Station 35 Linglestown Air Station 77 Dauphin County Haz Mat Perry County Station 2 Duncannon Rescue and Truck Northumberland County Station 62 Dalmatia Engine and Tanker Station 63 Herndon Engine and Tanker Station 64 Hickory Corners Engine and Tanker Station 65 Klingerstown Engine and Tanker Transfers Engine 37-1 and Tanker 38 to Station 29 Perry Tanker 9 to Station 216 Schuylkill Engine 22-11 and Truck 58-25 to Station 21 Schuylkill Engine 58-15 to Station 23 Schuylkill Tanker 14-30 to Station 26
