Mountain Fire, 4931 Clarks Valley (Box 66-4)

Smoke Investigation, 410 Market St (Box 22-1)

A first alarm assignment was dispatched for a report of smoke in a commercial structure. Engine-22 responded to the Mason building on Market Street and staged on side-2. Truck-22 arrived on side-3. Engine-23 arrived on side-1 and Engine-24 staged at the intersection of Main and Market Streets. Investigation discovered that several ladies were cooking burgers on the stove in the basement and some grease caught fire. They extinguished the small stove fire with an ABC extinguisher, and called 911 because of smoke in the building. After determining that there was no fire, Chief 22-1 held the box to Company-22, whose personnel performed positive pressure ventilation on the building, and went available.

Smoke in a structure, 216 East Wiconisco Street (Box S.C.)

Engine 22 and Tanker 23 dispatched class one to Porter Township, village of Muir to 216 East Wiconisco Street for a report of smoke in a structure. Engine 22 responded with 5 and shortly after arriving on scene, was placed in service by command.

Accident with entrapment, Powells Valley Rd (Box 19-4)

Company 19 and Rescue 23 dispatched class one to Jefferson Township on the 19-4 box to the area of the Greenland Road and Powells Valley Road for a single vehicle crash with rollover and entrapment. Chief 19-1 went enroute and requested Engine 22 to be added to the call. Engine 22 responded with 6 and 3 additional members POV. On arrival, Rescue 23 was working on extrication which was completed shortly thereafter. Crews assisted with scene safety until released by command.

AFA, 600 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class one to 600 Main Street in Lykens at the Union House Apartments for an automatic fire alarm. Chiefs 22 and 22-2 responded to the scene POV. Engine 22 responded with 4, and was placed in service by command 22. It was a false trip.

Vehicle Accident - Williams Twp, Dauphin Co, PA
Detail >>
A Pontiac sedan, driven by Howard Troutman of Tower City, left the road and struck a tree stump one mile west of Sheridan on Tuesday evening, November 6, 1934. Troutman met with minor injuries of the face. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Lochiel Rolling Mill Fire - Harrisburg, PA

The 285 feet by 370 feet Lochiel Rolling Mill in the first ward of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was converted to a mass of ruins between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on November 6, 1872. Arson was suspected.
