Truck 22 dispatched class one on the 27-5 box to 330 Indian Trail Road in Lykens Township for a commercial barn fire. Truck 22 responded with 5 and on arrival, was advised to beach the rig and send manpower forward to vent a 30 foot by 60 foot barn type building. Crew vented the roof and assisted with fire suppression and overhaul until released by command.
Truck 22 dispatched class one to Schuylkill County in Hubley township at 509 Pine drive for a structure fire. Truck 22 went enroute with 7 and Utility 22 with 1. On arrival command advised to beach the rig and send manpower forward to side A of a 20 by 50 foot 1 story double wide modular building. Visible fire had been knocked down by first in crews and venting was ongoing with a lot of overhaul to perform. Crews assisted interior with salvage and overhaul until released by Command 14.
The frontier settlement of Deerfield, Massachusetts, was attacked by a French and Indian force on February 29, 1704. The town was burned to the ground, and around 100 men, women, and children were killed. This was the bloodiest event of Queen Anne's War.
