A chimney fire occurred in the home of Mrs. Bertha Coleman on Spruce Street in Lykens on the morning of Tuesday, October 30, 1945. Liberty Hose Company No. 2 responded and extinguished the blaze. No damage was reported.

Engine 22 was dispatched to assist EMS with a cardiac arrest. Engine 22 responded, but was shortly thereafter placed in service by EMS. The patient was signal-12.

Cardiac Arrest - AED response, 329 Market Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 was dispatched to assist Medic 6-5 with a cardiac arrest call for a four year old child at 329 Market Street. Truck 22 responded with a crew of four. Shortly after EMS arrived on scene, the patient was declared dead, signal 12 was called, and the Truck went available.

Medical Assist - Cardiac Arrest, 331 South Second Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class one to 331 South Second Street in Lykens for a reported cardiac arrest. Chief 22 responded POV to the scene, Truck 22 with 6 and Utility 22 with 3. On arrival, crew initiated patient care, and patient was breathing with a pulse. Crew continued care until the arrival of EMS and then assisted in transferring the patient from the home to their transport unit, and then went available.

Company 21 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 47 South Market Street in Elizabethville to the Elizabethville Furniture Center for an automatic fire alarm. Truck 22 responded with 6 and was placed in service by command 21 while enroute.

Medical Assist, 462 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class one to 462 Main Street in Lykens for the medical assist. EMS had an extended eta. Chief 22 responded POV and Truck 22 with 4 and Utility 22 with 3. On arrival the crew started patient care until the arrival of 24Q and Medic 6. They continued to assist until released by EMS.
