Company-22 was dispatched per request of chief 22-2, after he heard a loud explosion occur near the area of his business at Shultz Funeral Home. Engine and Truck 22 responded, with the engine taking side-1 and truck taking side-3 in the Mason Building parking lot. Personnel used the boom to inspect both building's roofs and a perimeter search was done, with no problems found. Units were placed available by Chief-22.
Truck 22 was dispatched mutual aid to Schuylkill County, Hubley Township, the village of Spring Glen at 2743 West Main Street, for a barn fire. Company members were already in the station for the annual carnival and they responded quickly with a truck crew of seven. The Truck was canceled while enroute.
Engine 22 dispatched class three to Wiconisco fire station 23 to set up a landing zone for an incoming Life Lion helicopter. Engine 22 responded with 4 and Chief 22 POV. On arrival, the crew established the LZ and assisted 24 and 6 EMS with transferring the patient to Life Lion, and then were placed available.
