2016
Extremity Rescue, 464 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Engine 22 and Rescue 23 along with EMS dispatched class one to 464 Main Street in Lykens for an extremities rescue. Chief 22 responded POV, and on arrival found a victim with his legs trapped under a van that had fallen on him in the rear yard of the address. Engine 22 responded with 4, Truck 22 with 6, and Rescue 23 with 4. On arrival, personnel from the Rescue set up the jaws of life to raise the vehicle while the Engine and Truck crews stabilized and cribbed the vehicle. After extricating the patient, the crews assisted with patient care until the victim was transferred to EMS for transport to the hospital. Command then placed the box available.

Chimney Fire, 105 South 4th Street (Box S.C.)

Truck 22 dispatched to Schuylkill County, 105 South 4th Street in Tower City, for a reported chimney fire. Truck 22 responded with 7 and Chief 22 POV. The Truck was canceled by command 66-01 just outside of town.

Automatic Fire Alarm, 75 Small Valley Road (Box 19-3)

Company 19 and Truck 22 dispatched to 75 Small Valley Road in Wayne Township for a reported automatic fire alarm. Engine 19-1 went enroute with 2, Chief 19 POV, and Truck 22 with 7. Chief 19 on scene placed the box in service and Truck 22 was canceled while enroute. The alarm was set off due to steam from a shower.

Truck 22 was dispatched to 316 East Colliery Avenue in the Borough of Tower City, Schuylkill County, for a reported structure fire. The Truck was canceled before response.

Medical Assist, 245 S 2nd St (Box 22-1)
Detail >>
Company 22 was dispatched for an AED response to 245 South Second Street in Lykens for a cardiac arrest call. Engine 22 responded and upon arrival, assisted EMS with patient transfer to a transport unit.

Medical Assist, 631 North Street (Box 22-11)
Detail >>
Engine 22 was dispatched to assist EMS with a cardiac arrest call. Engine 22 responded with a crew of six, and on arrival assisted EMS with CPR and patient packaging and removal from the residence to the awaiting transport unit. The company was then placed available.

1934
Two Barn Fires - Middle Paxton Twp, Dauphin Co, PA

On the morning of Wednesday, October 3, 1934, the fuel tank of an automobile owned by Cloyd Trutt exploded, resulting in a fire that destroyed two barns one mile north of Dauphin in Clarks Valley. Trutt was the tenant on the Hocklander estate and used the barn as a garage. The other destroyed barn was on the adjoining farm of Frank Ryder. The Dauphin firemen were summoned and their efforts were confined to saving other nearby buildings.
