Accident with injury, 1186 West Market St (Box 24-3)
Detail >>
Engine 22 dispatched class one to 1186 West Market Street in Williams Township for an accident with injuries. Engine 22 responded with 5 and Utility 22 with 1. On arrival the crew assisted the crew of Rescue 24 with scene safety and traffic control until released by Command 24.
2021
AFA, 15 South 2nd St (Box 22-1)

At the request of Medic 6 on scene Chief 22 dispatched to the Rattling Creek Apartments at 15 South Second Street in Lykens to investigate whether a fire alarm was pulled by a patient. Chiefs 22 and 22-2 responded class three to the scene and upon further investigation found that the alarm was not pulled and conditions were normal. Chief 22 placed the Company available.
2020
Accident with injury, Main and Pine Streets (Box 22-1)

At the request of Chief 22 on scene, Utility 22 dispatched class three to the intersection of Main and Pine streets in Lykens Boro for an accident with injury. Chief 22-1 also arrived POV on scene and Utility 22 responded class three with 3. On arrival, the crew secured the intersection and assisted with traffic control until one patient was transferred to Medic 6 and sent to the hospital. Command then placed the box available.
2018
AFA, 300 Chestnut Street (Box 22-1)
Detail >>
Company 22 and Engine 23 dispatched class one to 300 Chestnut Street in Lykens to the Alfa Laval Thermal Corporation plant for an automatic fire alarm. Chief 22 responded POV and on his arrival was advised of burnt food in the break room. He placed the box in service.
2016
Medical Assist, 224 North Street (Box 22-1)

At the request of 24 EMS on scene, Company 22 dispatched class three to 224 North Street in Lykens for a lift assist. Chief 22 responded POV, Truck 22 with 5 and Utility 22 with 4. On arrival, the crew assisted with moving a patient from her residence to the awaiting ambulance for a trip to the hospital, and then went available.
2016
Structure Fire, 10 School Road (Box S.C.)

Truck 22 and Engine 27 dispatched class one to Schuylkill County, Hubley Township, to 10 School Road for a structure fire. Engine 27 went enroute with 6 and Truck 22 with 7, and were canceled by command while enroute.
2006
Commercial Structure Fire, 260 Clarks Valley Rd (Box S.C.)

Dauphin County stations 22 and 24 were alerted for Tanker 24 and Truck 22 to respond on a Schuylkill County box in Porter Township at 260 Clarks Valley Road at Schorr's Gas Station for an electrical fire. Tanker 24 responded and Truck 22 responded with a crew of five. Shortly before arriving on scene, both units were placed available by command. Units on scene included Engine 655, Engine 650, Engine 659, Engine 66-10, and Air-Light 66-60 along with EMS from Tower City 961. A small electrical fire was handled with an extinguisher by the first arriving crew.
1983
Drill, Reiff & Nestor (Box 22-12)

Company-22 pre-arranged a fire drill to be dispatched at the Reiff and Nestor plant. Dispatched were: Engine and Tanker 22, Engine, Squad, and Tanker 23, Engine, Tanker, and Rescue 21, Engine and Tanker 24. All units responded, with apparatus staging in the parking lot. Officers from all participating companies did a walk through of the plant conducted by Plant personnel. Units were placed available upon completion of inspection of the buildings.
1976
Structure Fire, Matters Texaco

Fire broke out at Matters Texaco on Main Street in Lykens during the early morning hours. The building was in full blaze as Volunteers from Lykens and Wiconisco Companies arrived. Mutual Aid was requested from Williamstown and Elizabethville to help contain the fire. At the height of the blaze, quart oil cans were exploding and flying through the air. One broke thru the window of the Guy Bohner residence across Main Street, 30 yards away. This was a very spectacular blaze! The building was a total loss.
