On Monday, November 26, 1934, at 8:30 in the evening, George Spotts of Millersburg RD figured in an accident when his Chevrolet sedan refused to respond to his will and crashed into a truck operated by his nephew, Ray Spotts, about four miles west of Elizabethville. The truck was owned by Mrs. Irene Lebo and carried a cargo of chickens and eggs. After hitting the truck, the car ran into a nearby field. As a result of the accident, George Spotts was suffering from shock and possible internal injuries. He was taken to the Harrisburg Hospital. Ray was found to have a lacerated nose and was given first aid by a local physician. Patrolman Shoop investigated the accident and reported that both vehicles were badly damaged.
