AFA, 201 Oakland Acres Lane (Box 21-1)

Company 21 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 201 Oakland Acres Lane in Washington Township for an automatic fire alarm. Rescue 21 went enroute with 6 and Truck 22 with 5. Lieutenant 21 responded POV and had command on arrival. The Truck was advised to come in Moore Street and stage at the intersection with Lyter Street. Command later placed the Truck available and they cleared the scene.

Structure Fire, 113 Autumn Drive (Box 24-1)

Companies 24, 23, Truck 22, Schuylkill 22-15 and 22-31 dispatched class one to the Laurel Hills development at 113 Autumn Drive in Williamstown for a report of sparks coming from the wall of an apartment. Truck 22 responded with 7 and arrived on side A of a multi-unit 2 story brick housing project with Engines 24 and 23 on either side of the Truck. Crew went interior with the TIC and checked for hot spots, and found a shorted out thermostat. After shutting off power to the heat command placed a call to the building super and placed the box available.

AFA, 13 South Market Street (Box 21-1)

Engine 26 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to the BB&T Bank at 13 South Market Street in Elizabethville on the 21-1 box for an automatic fire alarm. Company 21 was all ready on a structure fire call in Jackson Township. Truck 22 went enroute with 5. Chief 216 released Company 21 from the 216 box and they responded to the call with the Engine, Rescue, and Tanker. Engine 26 was put in service. Utility 21 responded from Station 21 and arrived on scene to find normal conditions. As the Truck was arriving on scene, Chief 21 on board Engine 21 arrived and placed the box in service.

Accident with imjuries, 665 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Chief 22 reported an accident that occurred in front of his residence, a moving vehicle struck his parked POV. The 22-1 box was dispatched for Engine 22 and Rescue 23 and EMS. Engine 22 responded with 4 and Utility 22 with 1, and Rescue 23 with 4. On arrival, crews assisted EMS with removing the driver of the car from her vehicle to the ambulance for transport. They then assisted the towing companies with removing the vehicles from the roadway before being placed available by command.

Tree on a house, North and Edward Streets (Box 22-1)

Engine 22 came upon a tree limb on the roof of a house at the intersection of Edward Street and North Street in Lykens Boro. They requested Truck 22 to meet them on scene. Crews using the bucket accessed the roof and removed the limb, and then went available.

Wire down, Division & North 1st Streets (Box 22-1)

Utility 22 with Chief 22-2 came upon a wired down at the intersection of North First Street and Division Streets. After checking the area, they cleared the scene and proceeded to another call.

Tree on wires, 162 Edward Street (Box 22-2)
Detail >>
Truck 22 dispatched class three to 162 Edward Street in Lykens Boro for a report of a tree down on wires with wires arcing. Truck 22 responded with 3 and on arrival, secured the area with cones and left the scene to handle another call.

Fuel Spill, 646 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Engine 22 left the scene of the tree down on the square and went to the Mini Market in Front of Boyers Store at 646 Main Street for a report of a gas leak outside. The Engine responded with 3 and on arrival, checked the area and found nothing. The Engine placed the box in service.

Trees Down, Main & Market Streets (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class three to the square in Lykens for multiple trees down. A heavy thunder storm had just rolled through the Boro, and two trees on the Susquehanna Bank park fell unto Market Street. Utility 22 responded with 2, Engine 22 with 3. and Chief 22 POV. Crews used chain saws to clear the debris from the roadway and proceeded unto several other calls.
2011
Tractor fire, Berry Mountain Road (Box 216-8)

Engines 22, 23, and 24 dispatched class one to the mountain above Williamstown on Berry Mountain Road in the 216-8 box for a logging tractor on fire. Engine 22 responded with 6 and Chief 22 POV. Company 23 was requested to respond with their Tanker and Brush. The Tanker responded with 2 and the Brush with 3 and Chief 23 POV. Engine 24 responded with 6. Access to the site of the vehicle on fire was extremely difficult, with various rigs attempting to get to it using various logging and game roads. Brush and Tanker 23 were first to get to the scene, along with Chiefs 22 and 23. Engine 22 was never able to get to the scene. Engine 24 did arrive on location. Units on scene extinguished the fire and did overhaul. Company 21 was placed on standby while all 3 companies had their manpower and rigs in the mountain. Engine 22 stood by with the forestry and EMS crews on the mountain until command determined that their services were not needed, and they were released. Engine 22 was placed available once they got back into Dauphin County from Rt. 209 at 12:41, and Company 21 was taken off standby. The remaining units were still on scene for an extended time performing overhaul.

Tree Down, 1315 Pottsville Rd (Box 23-3)

Truck 22 was dispatched per request of Chief 23-2, to assist with the removal of a large tree from a pole that was blocking traffic on Coaldale Road. The truck responded with five personnel and arrived on scene to find a large tree snapped at the base, laying over some telephone and TV cable wires. Personnel assisted Company 23 members in tree removal and were later released by command.

Engine 22 was dispatched as a next due Engine for a structure fire in Schuylkill County while numerous units in the area were out of service attending the Dauphin County Fireman's Convention Parade. The engine was canceled by Schuylkill County before its response.
