At the request of Medic 6, Engine 22 was dispatched to the Reiner residence at 402 North Second Street to assist with the lifting of a patient. Engine 22 responded with a crew of three, and assisted EMS with lifting a gentleman back into his chair. He had slid out of the chair onto the floor during the night. He was unable to get himself back up and only needed assistance getting back in his chair. After completing the task, the crew went available.
Utility 22 responded class three to assist Medic 1-9 with lifting an extremely obese patient from his residence to their transport unit for a trip to a doctor's office. After completing the move, the crew remained available until called back to the residence to return the patient to his residence. After completing that task, the crew went available.
Company 22 dispatched class one to 602 Parkview Lane in Lykens Boro for a medical assist, forcible entry. Chief 22 responded to the scene POV, and as Engine 22 was pulling out of the station with 5, command placed the box available, EMS gained entry.
At the request of 24 EMS on scene Company 22 dispatched class three to 317 Main Street in Lykens for forcible entry. EMS crew was not able to gain entry to the residence for a fall victim. Chief 22 responded POV and Truck 22 went enroute with 4. On arrival at a 2 story single family wood frame structure the crew removed an air conditioner from a window to allow EMS inside access, and then went available.
