Company 22 dispatched class one to the area of 928 Main Street in the Boro for a report of an outside fire. Engine 22 responded class three with 6, Utility 22 with 2, and Chief 22 POV. On arrival, a tree was found to be laying across power lines and on fire. PPL was notified, and shortly thereafter a portion of the tree burned off and fell to the ground, which was extinguished with a pint of water. Crews remained on scene until the arrival of PPL and then went available.

Automatic Fire Alarm, 614 Market Street (Box 22-1)
Company 22 dispatched class one to 614 Market Street in Lykens Boro for an automatic fire alarm. Chief 22 responded POV and Engine 22 went enroute with 6. On arrival, the location was a 2 1/2 story single family dwelling, un-occupied, with an audible alarm sounding. Lykens PD 4526 was on scene and forced entry on the D side door, where crews entered and investigated. A faulty smoke alarm was found in the first floor hallway. After checking all floors and basement of the building and finding nothing, command placed the box in service.
At the request of PSP and Medic 6 on scene, Engine 22 dispatched class three to 601 Main Street in Lykens to the Israel Building to an apartment on the second floor with an unknown odor. Chiefs 22 and 22-2 responded POV to the scene and Engine 22 went enroute with 2. On arrival, the crew investigated the apartment but did not find anything that was causing the odor. After ventilating the apartment the odor was removed and command placed the box available.
Truck 22 along with Rescue and Tanker 23 dispatched class one to 96 Evangel Park Road in Porter Township Schuylkill County for a structure fire. Truck 22 responded with 5 and one POV along with Rescue 23 with 6 and Tanker 23 with 2. Muir command held the box to units on scene and the Dauphin units were canceled while enroute.
