Fire occurred at J.J. Nutt's store on Main Street. The Mechanics Hall alarm was given at 8:25 AM. The company responded promptly and attached hose to the plug at A.F. Thompson's. Loss was $10,000.
Fire alarm sounded Saturday night, March 17, 1906, at 8:15. The fire was at [???] shanty located along Rattling Creek. members of Liberty Hose Company responded with both carts and connected at [sh???s] plug on Market Street and at Duncan's plug on South Street. The shanty was destroyed entirely, loss of $50, no insurance.
Fire alarm sounded at 7:30 AM on March 17, 1909. Fire broke out in the drug store of W. H. Uhler at the corner of Main and Market Streets. Not very much damage was done by the fire. Uhler's drug store, southwest corner Main and Market streets, about 7:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, which for a time looked very threatening. The clerk, Eugene Donahue, opened the store at 7 o'clock (the regular time), and after attending to a few matters about the establishment went outside to sweep the snow off the pavement, and while thus engaged noticed smoke coming out through the doorways, which are always opened in the morning to ventilate the room. An alarm was immediately sounded and the fire department soon responded, but in the meantime several chemical fire extinguishers from Hoffs hardware store were brought into service. The smoke, however, was so dense and impregnated with the fumes of burning pepper that it was impossible to handle the extinguishers by any one person for more than a few seconds at a time, and the liquid was thrown about at random as the fire could not be exactly located at first. It was afterwards found to be in the southwestern part of the room under the prescription counter and the hose of the firemen was turned in that direction and the flames soon extinguished. The heat was so intense that several thermometers burst and one of the large plate glass windows on the Market street side of the building was cracked at two places. Most of the labels were also melted from the jars and bottles. The damagne is estimated at about $500, which is covered by insurance with the J.H. Rowe agency of Millersburg. Mr. Uhler's store was open for business shortly after the fire and by noon presented its usual tidy appearance, excepting the ceiling and that part of the room to which the fire was confined.
Companies 22 and 23 were dispatched to the former Fegley Insurance Agency Building at 500 Main Street in Lykens for a reported electrical fire. Engine 22 responded, and the crew discovered a fluorescent light ballast had burned out in a light fixture in the front office. After venting the office, the crews went available.

Structure fire with entrapment, 616 Park View Lane (Box 22-2)
Company 22, 23, Engine 24 and Rescue 21 dispatched class one to 616 Parkview Lane in Lykens for a reported structure fire with entrapment. Lieutenants 22 and 22-1 were on scene with a burn patient inside and were attempting to remove him from the structure. Engine 22 responded with 5 and Truck 22 with 2. On arrival, the Engine took side C with a hydrant on Laurel Lane, and Truck 22 took side A on Parkview. Engine 23 and Rescue 23 staged at the hydrant on Park View side A. Initial size-up showed a small brush fire in the rear yard that had spread to the back wall of the structure and the wall between the next door residence. Crew from the Engine pulled one 2 inch line and extinguished visible fire, with the Truck and Rescue crews going interior to find the victim and check for extension inside. Occupant was located inside and no fire interior. Engine 23 was re-directed to the Station 23 LZ to set up for Life Lion to transport the occupant of the structure. After control was marked, crews pulled ceilings and assisted EMS with packaging and transferring the occupant to their unit for transport to the LZ. Engine 24 was placed in service, and Rescue 21 stood by on side A. After patient was removed and salvage and overhaul completed, command placed the box available.
Engine 22 dispatched class one to the Wiconisco fire station to set up a landing zone. Engine 23, Rescue 23, Rescue 21, and EMS were at the scene of an accident with entrapment on Route 209 east of Lykens. Engine 22 responded with 6 and Chief 22 POV. Three additional members responded POV. Chief 22 assumed LZ 23 command and landed Life Lion helicopter. After EMS brought the patient to the LZ, crew assisted with transferring him to the helicopter for a flight to the hospital. After liftoff, Company 22 went available.

Medical Assist, 225 East Wiconisco Street (Box S.C.)
Company 22 dispatched class one to 225 East Wiconisco Street in Tower City for a medical assist. Truck 22 responded with 5 and was canceled while enroute.
Companies 24, 23 and 22 dispatched class one to 329 Julian Street in Williamstown for a chimney fire. Truck 22 went enroute with 7 and Engine 22 with 6. The Truck arrived on the A/B corner of a 2 and 1/2 story wood frame single family dwelling and laddered the building on the B/C corner and sent a crew to the roof to check the chimney. Engine 22 staged at the corner of Grant Street and Julian Street and sent manpower forward to assist. Crews worked with 24 and 23 to clean out the chimney and when the task was completed Command released the Company.
Company 24 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 235 East Market Street in Williamstown for a CO alarm. Engine 24 responded and Truck 22 went enroute with 7. On arrival of Engine 24 they found a faulty detector and placed Truck 22 available.
