Car Fire, Powells Valley Rd (Box 19-4)

Engine and Tanker 22 dispatched as next due for company 19 on a 19-4 box for a reported car fire on Powells Valley Road at the sharp turn near the handboard entrance to the State Game Lands. Engine 22 responded with 6 and Chief 22 POV. Tanker 22 responded with 2, but was put in service by command 19. While enroute, the Engine was advised that there was no fire, but rather a car into a tree. On arrival, Engine 22 staged north of the accident scene, with Chief 19-1 on scene with command, along with EMS from Medic 6 and two PSP units. Crew secured the vehicle, set up lighting, and assisted PSP with scene safety. Engine 19-1 with a crew of 5 arrived shortly after. Crew remained on scene and assisted "Recovery 21" with removal of the vehicle , and were then placed available by command.
2011
Chimney Fire, 420 North Second Street (Box 22-1)

Engine and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 420 North Second Street in Lykens for a report of a chimney fire. Chief 22 responded POV to the scene, and Engine 22 responded class one with 4 and Truck 22 with one. On arrival, crews investigated and found the problem to be a furnace malfunction. The furnace was shut down, CO readings were taken, and the chimney checked. Finding no other problems, command placed the box in service.
2017
Accident with injuries, 435 North Street (Box 22-1)

Engine 22 and Rescue 23 dispatched class one to the area in front of 435 North Street in Lykens for a reported accident with injuries. Chief 22 went enroute POV and was advised that the incident was now a medical event. Engine 22 responded with 6 and Utility 22 with 5 as well as Rescue 23. On arrival, the crew assessed the patient and initiated care until the arrival of EMS. Rescue 23 was placed in service. The crew helped load the patient for transport and then was placed available by command.
2017
Medical Assist, 422 Division Street (Box 22-1)

With the closest available EMS unit coming out of the City, Company 22 was dispatched class three to 422 Division Street in Lykens for an unknown medical problem, Chief 22 responded POV and Truck 22 went enroute with 5. On arrival, Lykens PD was on scene and had gained entry to the residence, where the crew found the patient on the floor. Patient care was started until the arrival of an EMS unit and care transferred to them. Command then placed the company available.
2020
Car into structure, 537 Main St (Box 22-1)

At the request of PSP, Company 22 dispatched class three to 537 Main Street for a vehicle accident with the car possibly leaking fluids and smoking. Chief 22 responded POV and on arrival found a car into the front porch of the H & R Block store at 537 Main Street after having struck a parked car, and the vehicle was not occupied. Engine 22 responded with 2 and Utility 22 with 4. On arrival the crew secured the battery and awaited arrival of PSP. Traffic was blocked off at Main and Market and Main and Pine until the arrival of Recovery 21. After the car was towed command placed the box available.
2023
Structure Fire, 605 Main St (Box 22-1)

Company 22, 23, Engine 24 and Rescue 21 and EMS dispatched class one to 605 Main Street for a reported structure fire. Chief 22 responded POV and on arrival side A had nothing showing. County advised that the neighbor called 911 reporting smoke coming from side C second floor. Chief 22 went to side C while Engine 22 responded with 4 and took the hydrant on the square and staged on side B pulling a line. Truck 22 responded with 3 and took the address and set up. Rescue 21 responded with 7, Engine 24 with 6 and Rescue 23 with 5. Upon investigation from the C side Command found a person cooking on a grill on the second floor balcony. Command held the box to Company 22 while crews went interior to confirm. After confirming no fire the box was placed available.
