Company 22 dispatched class one to 710 Parkview Road in Lykens for an automatic fire alarm. County dispatch requested an officer to call, and when Chief 22-2 marked up they advised that the alarm company had received the proper pass code from the home owner and they wished to cancel the alarm. Command placed the box available.
2018
Small outside fire, 316 North 2nd Street Rear (Box 22-1)
Company 22 dispatched class one to the rear of 316 North Second Street in Lykens Boro for a small brush fire. Chief 22 responded POV and Engine 22 went enroute with 5. Chief 22 arrived on scene and found bystanders using buckets had the fire extinguished so he placed the Engine in service. Command then requested PSP to the scene to take an arson report.
2011
Accident with injuries, 306 Main Street (Box 22-1)
Engine 22, Rescue 23, and EMS dispatched to 306 Main Street in Lykens Boro for a reported accident with injuries. Engine 22 responded with 6, Chief 22 POV, and 4 additional members responded POV. Chief 22 arrived on scene and assumed command. One vehicle with a single occupant had hit a parked mini-van, and the driver was outside the vehicle unhurt. Command placed Rescue 23 in service. On Engine 22's arrival, the crew stabilized the vehicles and put high dry down to absorb a moderate spill along the roadway. Lykens fire police shut down the 300 block of Main Street and diverted traffic onto side streets. Crew assessed patient and got initial vital signs until arrival of Medic 6. Lykens PD secured the services of two wreckers and after their arrival and removal of the vehicles, the crew cleaned up the street and went available.
2009
Smoke in a structure, 1100 North Second Street (Box 21-6)
Truck 22, Engine 23, and Company 21 dispatched to the village of Loyalton in Washington Township for a report of smoke in a structure. Chief 21-3 on scene held the box to Company 21 only, canceling Truck 22 and Engine 23 before their response.
Truck 22 was dispatched to Williamstown for a structure fire, along with Companies 24, 23, and 66. Truck 22 responded, and on arrival found an electricity meter base on the side of the building on fire. Chief 66 had command, and released the Truck. Truck 22 went available.
The interior of the pleasure car owned by Mr. William Koppenhaver, South Second Street, was destroyed by fire while in the residence garage Sunday morning, August 15, 1948, at 4 o'clock. The fire was discovered by Mr. Stanley Hawk, who noticed smoke coming from the garage while making his round as night watchman at the plant of Reiff and Nestor. Liberty Hose Company, Lykens, promptly answered a call for assistance and extinguished the blaze. The garage was not damaged.
