Electrical Hazard, 530 North Street (Box 22-1)

Dauphin County Communications alerted a Company 22 Chief to contact the Comm Center concerning a public safety hazard. Chiefs 22 and 22-2 responded class 3 to 530 North Street, and on arrival Chief 22 requested Truck 22 class 3 to the scene to assist in ice removal. Truck 22 responded with 5, and on arrival staged at the address and pulled a ground ladder to access the obstruction. Crew pulled down a large chunk of ice hanging from the roof line that was pushing the electrical service line away from the house. After completing the task, the Truck went available. Crew spent some time on the return trip to the station clearing several snowed under fire hydrants.

Smoke in a Structure, 170 Longabach Drive (Box 21-5)

Truck 22 dispatched class one on the 21-5 box to 170 Longabach Drive in Washington Township for a report of smoke in a structure due to a faulty wood burner. Truck 22 responded with 7 and Utility 22 with 2. On arrival, the Truck took side A of a 2 story single family dwelling and was assigned the task of checking the chimney. Crew laddered the building while the boom went to the roof and pulled the chimney cap, which was blocked. Crew assisted 21 until released by Chief 21-1.

Public Assist, Main and Lehr Streets (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class three to Main and Lehr Streets for a car stuck in the snow. Chiefs 22 and 22-1 responded POV to the scene, and Utility 22 responded with 4. On arrival, crew assisted the driver with removing their car from the snow and went available.

CO Alarm, 516 Pottsville Street (Box 23-1)

Engine 23 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 516 Pottsville Street in Wiconisco Township for a carbon monoxide alarm. Engine 23 went enroute and Truck 22 went with 6. As the Truck was arriving on scene Command 23 placed the Truck available.
2022
Accident with confinement, 8832 Route 209 (Box 24-3)

Engine 22 dispatched class one on the 24-3 box to 8832 Route 209 in Williams Township for an accident with confinement. Engine 22 responded with 5 and utility 22 with 2 and one member POV. On arrival the Engine took a blocking position on Route 209 and the crew went forward to assist Rescue 24. One vehicle had struck a pole and was down into a ditch. Rescue 24 had the patient extricated prior to the arrival of Engine 22. The crew stood by and assisted Company 24 until released by command.

Chimney Fire, 242 Vine Street (Box 24-1)

Company 24, Rescue 23 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 242 Vine Street in Williamstown for a chimney fire. Tanker 24 went enroute with 5 and arrived on side A with nothing visible. Rescue 23 went enroute with 2 and on arrival took side C. Truck 22 went enroute with 4 and on arrival at a 30 by 50 duplex 2 story wood frame residence took side A and laddered the front side. Crews from 23 and 22 worked the roof while 24 was in the basement at the furnace. After checking the chimney and cleaning out the flue and pipes the box was placed available.
