1999
Garage Fire, 308 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Engine and Truck 22, Engine and Squad 23, and EMS were dispatched to a report of a garage on fire in the alley behind 308 Main Street. Engine 22 responded with a crew of six and laid a 5-inch supply hose into the scene from the hydrant at the corner of Main and West Streets. Truck 22 responded with a crew of five and laid in a 5-inch line from the hydrant at the corner of South Second and Edward Streets. Engine 23 staged on Edward Street and received a supply line from Truck 22. Chief 22, first on the scene, reported a wooden one-story garage fully involved. Crews pulled several hand lines and extinguished the fire in a few minutes. Extensive overhaul was performed. Company 24 was placed on standby. The garage was destroyed.
2004
Odor Investigation, Spruce & North Second Sts (Box 22-1)

Company-22 was dispatched to the Northern Dauphin Branch of the Dauphin County Library in Lykens for a reported odor of something burning. Neighbors in the area contacted Lieutenant-22, who lives in the area, and he called 911 and requested Company-22, non-emergency. Engine-22 and Truck-22 responded class-3, the Engine staged on Spruce street near the Library entrance, and the Truck staged in the Library parking lot. Personnel split up and searched the area surrounding the building, with nothing found. The truck crew laddered the Library and used a thermal imaging camera to examine the roof area, including air handling units. Nothing was found. Chief-22 investigated the area North of the Library, and determined from conversation with some neighbors that residents on the other side of Wiconisco Creek, in Wiconisco Township North of the library, had been burning trash in their back yard earlier in the evening. Chief-22 placed the box available and all units returned to quarters.

Medical Assist, 247 North Street (Box 22-1)

Engine-22 was dispatched per request of EMS to assist with a medical emergency at 247 North Street. Engine-22 responded with a crew of six, and Chiefs 22 and 22-1 responded to the scene. Crews arrived on the scene and assisted EMS with extrication from the home and packaging of patient to the transport unit. Engine-22 went available after EMS went enroute.

Smoke in a Structure, 220 Church Street (Box 21-1)

Engine 22 dispatched as next due to 220 Church Street at the Upper Dauphin High School in Elizabethville for a report of smoke in a structure. The Engine was canceled when Engine 26 responded almost immediately after dispatch.
2016
AFA, 322 Market Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class one to 322 Market Street in Lykens for a smoke alarm sounding. Chiefs 22 and 22-2 responded to the scene. Engine 22 responded with 5 and Truck 22 with 3. On arrival of the chiefs, they had Company response reduced to class three. On arrival, the crews had a 3 story duplex structure with nothing showing and no audible alarms. Investigation found a defective smoke alarm which was replaced, and command placed the box available.

AFA, 4955 Route 209 (Box 21-5)

Company 21, Engine 26 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 4955 Route 209 in Washington Township at the Tractor Supply Store for an automatic fire alarm. Truck 22 responded with 4 and was canceled by Command 21 while enroute.

Tree Down, 337 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class three to 337 Main Street in Lykens for a tree down. Chief 22-2 responded POV and Utility 22 went enroute with 4. On arrival the crew removed the tree and went available.

Structure Fire, 1071 West Market St (Box 24-3)
Detail >>
Truck and Engine 22 dispatched class one to 1072 West Market Street in Williams Township for a report of smoke in a residence. Truck 22 responded with 7 and Engine 22 with 4. On arrival the crew staged on Dayton Road and sent manpower back a long lane to assist 24 and 23 with their investigation of the residence. After isolating the issue the crew was released and returned available.
