Dryer Fire, Kepler Home (Box 21-)

On Mother's Day morning, Engine 22 was dispatched to the Kepler Home in Elizabethville for a reported dryer fire. Companies 21, 20, 26, 27, and 28 were also dispatched on the call. Engine 22 responded with a crew of eleven, but was canceled enroute while passing the R & K Diner on Route 209.

Structure Fire, 347 Weaver Rd (Box 26-4)

2003
Accident w/injuries, 631 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Engine-22 and Engine-23 were dispatched to the 600-Block of Main Street, in front of Dairy Queen, for an accident with injuries. Engine-22 arrived on scene and found that the driver of an SUV had struck a parked pickup truck. Personnel assisted EMS and performed scene safety and cleanup until they were released.

Accident with injuries, Armory Rd and Rt 209 (Box 24-3)

Engine-22 was dispatched in place of Engine-24 for an accident with injuries in front of the Williamstown Armory. The engine was canceled by command before response. Company-22 fire police were then dispatched to shut down Route-209 at the Lykens Borough line.
2009
Fuel Spill, 821 Main Street (Box 22-2)

Company 22 was dispatched class three to the area in front of 821 Main Street for a reported fuel spill. Engine 22 responded with a crew of six, and Chief 22 responded POV. On arrival, the crew found about two gallons of home heating oil spilled in the gutter. No drains or hazards were present. The crew applied absorbent to the spilled product and then went available.

Medical Assist, 309 North 2nd Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class one to 309 North Second Street in Lykens for a medical assist for a fall victim. Chief 22 responded POV, Truck 22 with 6 and Utility 22 with 2. On arrival, crew initiated patient care until the arrival of ambulance 20-1, and then assisted with transfer to their unit and went available.
2018
Extremity Rescue, 171 Klingers Farm Lane (Box N.C.)

Northumberland Company 65 along with Rescues 27 and 28 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 171 Klingers Farm Lane in Upper Mahoney Township Northumberland County for a man stuck in a grain bin. Truck 22 responded with 5 and Utility 22 with 1. On arrival, the companies on scene had extricated the patient from the grain bin and he was on the top of it. The bucket was flown to the top to allow the patient to return to ground level. After accomplishing that task the Truck was placed available by command.
2018
Medical Assist, 412 Main Street (Box 22-1)

At the request of 24 EMS on scene Company 22 dispatched class three to 412 Main Street in Lykens to assist EMS with removing a patient from the second floor. Having just cleared the previous call a crew was in station and The Truck responded with 5. Chief 22-1 responded POV to the scene. On arrival the crrew assisted EMS with extricating the patient to their awaiting unit for transport. Command then placed the Truck available.

Peters Mountain Fire - Dauphin County, PA

On May 9th, 1957, a forest fire on Peter?s Mountain started in the Greenland area, south of Lykens. It burned up and over the top of the mountain to the foot of the north side, south of Tower City.
1969
Vehicle Accident - Pillow, PA
Detail >>
A two vehicle accident occurred on Route 225 in Pillow, at 8:10 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 1969. Nobody was injured in the accident, but there was $450 in damage done to the vehicles. The drivers were Lamar Mullen, of Dornsife RD, and Franklin Paul, of Valley View.
