Transformer Fire, 911 Main St (Box 22-4)

Tree Down, North & Spruce Sts (Box 22-1)

Engine 22 was dispatched to the corner of North and Spruce Streets for a large tree down. Engine 22 responded with a crew of six, and arrived on scene to find that an extremely large tree had fallen, blocking the street. The crew cordoned off the area with barricade tape and returned to quarters.

Tree Removal, North & Spruce Sts (Box 22-1)

At the request of a borough employee, Company 22 was dispatched to return to the site of a large tree down at the corner of North and Spruce Streets in the Borough. Engine 22 responded with a crew of six and assisted the borough by using chain saws to cut up the tree and dispose of the debris.
2012
Dumpster Fire, 300 Chestnut Street (Box 22-1)

Engine 22 dispatched class one to 300 Chestnut Street in Lykens in front of the Alfa Laval Plant for a reported dumpster fire. Captain 22 responded POV and on arrival, confirmed a working fire in a 30 cubic foot refuse dumpster. Engine 22 responded with 6 and on arrival, established a water supply from the hydrant at Hanna and Chestnut Street. One 2 inch pre-connect was deployed to attempt extinguishment. The dumpster contained large amounts of plastic materials that had burned into a large compacted pile that could not be breached to get to the fire. Lieutenant 22-1 went to retrieve the Boro back hoe, and it was used to pull the contents of the dumpster out to put it out. Dauphin County's on duty haz mat officer was contacted. After removing the contents and breaking the plastic up, the fire was extinguished. The owner of the business whose dumpster caught fire was contacted and the scene was turned over to him. Engine 22 went available after repacking the pre-connect and 5 inch hose.

Smoke in a Structure, 310 Camp Street (Box 21-1)

Company 21, Engine 26 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 310 Camp Street in Elizabethville Boro for smoke in an apartment. Truck 22 responded with 7 and was canceled by command while enroute.
2018
Car Fire, Powells Valley Rd (Box 216-8)

Company 22 and 23 dispatched class one to Powells Valley Road about a half mile from the top of the mountain on the 216-8 box for a single vehicle accident with fire. The car was reported to be off the road into the woods and on fire with no injuries. Engine 22 responded with 6 and Utility 22 with 5. Engine, Tanker, and Attack 23 also responded. On arrival of the Engine they had a single vehicle down over an embankment after clipping several trees. The woods around the car were also on fire as well as the engine block of the car which was still on the roadway on fire. The Engine 22 crew pulled one hand line and approached the fire from the upper side while the Engine 23 crew pulled one line and approached from the lower side. After extinguishing the car fire the crews put out the brush fire and wet down the surrounding woods while also extinguishing the motor which was still on fire on the roadway. Medic 6 arrived and the two vehicle occupants were checked out by them and were unhurt. Lieutenant 22-1 and an additional crew member who had arrived on scene POV went back down the Lykens side of the mountain and diverted traffic at the Lykens Road into Minnichs Hit. Company 19 was requested to be dispatched to set up a road block on the Carsonville side of the scene. Brush 19 responded and blocked traffic at the intersection of Powells Valley Road and Back Road. PSP was on scene and requested Kiners Towing to remove the vehicle and motor. Company 23 was released and the 22 crew remained on scene until the wrecker removed the vehicle and motor. After completing that task, Company 22 went available.
