Fire broke out at M.M. Hoffman's house on North Street at 5:00 PM. The company responded and made attachment to a plug but did not turn on the water. The fire was out.

Fire, Joseph Duncan's
Detail >>
The first fire of 1895 ocurred at Joseph Duncan's at 4 PM on April 7th. The company responded promptly, made attachment, and put out the fire. Damages totaled $13.

Fire, Thomas Harper residence
Detail >>
Fire broke out at the North Second Street residence of Thomas Harper on Friday, April 7, 1905. The fire alarm sounded at 11:20 AM. The company responded promptly and made a connection at the corner of North Second and Market Streets. Damage done to the property was about $37. The fire was caused by a stove pipe disconnecting.

AFA, 600 Main Street (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class one to the Lykens Hotel at 600 Main Street in Lykens for an automatic fire alarm. Chiefs 22 and 22-2 responded POV to the scene. Engine 22 responded with 5 and Truck 22 with 3. On arrival normal conditions were found in a 4 story 50 by 100 foot hotel building under construction. After gaining entry all floors were checked and nothing was found. After determining that there was no problem in the building command placed the box available.

Medical Assist, 801 Market Street (Box 22-2)

At the request of Medic 6 on scene Company 22 dispatched class three to 801 Market Street in Lykens for a lift assist. Chief 22 responded POV and Utility 22 went enroute with 2. On arrival the crew assisted EMS with removing a patient from the residence to their unit for transport to the hospital and then went available.

Truck 22 dispatched class one on the structure box 23-1 at 400 Wiconisco Street in Wiconisco for a trailer fire. Truck 22 responded with 5 and was canceled while enroute.

Bakery Explosion and Fire - Williamstown, PA

An explosion in a bakery in Williamstown shortly after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 1958, caused a fire. The fire was extinguished by neighbors and the Williamstown fire company.
