Company 22 was dispatched to the area of the intersection of South and Spruce Streets, near the Nye residence, for a reported brush fire. Engine 22 responded and found a moderate patch of brush on fire. Crews donned indian tanks, picked up rakes, and walked down the south slope of the hill towards the Glen to extinguish the fire.

Truck 22 dispatched to return to the scene of the previous days multiple row house fire to extinguish several smoldering hot spots. Truck 22 responded with 5, and upon arrival set up on side 1 and placed the deck gun in operation, being supplied by Engine 790 (Tower City). Numerous hot spots on the upper floors were extinguished.

Automatic Fire Alarm, 683 Main Street (Box 22-2)

Company-22 was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm at the Dauphin County Library at the corner of Main and Arch Streets. Engine-22 responded with a crew of four, along with Engine-23. After being advised that a technician on scene was testing the system, the box was placed in service.

Tanker-22 was dispatched in place of Schuylkill County Tanker-650 for a structure fire in Rush Township. The tanker responded with a crew of two, and was placed in service almost immediately when Tanker-650 went responding.

Tanker-22 was re-dispatched to the scene of the previous call in Rush Township for a fully involved structure fire. The tanker responded with a crew of two and arrived on scene to find numerous other companies working a well involved two-story residence with extension into the woods behind the building. Tanker-22 dropped several loads of water into Tanker-24's dump tank, and re-filled from a dry hydrant located near the scene. After control, the tanker stood by until released by command.

Relocate and standby, Station 647 (Box 66-3)

Engine-22 was dispatched to relocate to Sheridan Station-647. Engine-22 responded with a crew of six and stood by in Station-647 until released by command.

Tree Down, 260 Glen Road (Box 22-2)
Detail >>
At the request of Chief 22-2 on scene, Engine 22 dispatched class 3 to the Glen Road in the area of the large pavilion for a tree down across the road. Engine 22 responded class three with 6 and Chief 22 went POV. On arrival, the crew used a chain saw to cut up the tree and clear the roadway, and went available.

Medical Assist, 801 Market Street (Box 22-2)

Company 22 and Rescue 23 dispatched class three to 801 Market Street in Lykens to assist EMS with transferring an extremely obese patient from his home to their transport unit. Truck 22 responded with 6 and Rescue 23 with 5. On arrival, crews assisted Medics 1-9 and 6-4 with patient transfer, and then went available.

Tree down, 4500 Powells Valley Road (Box 19-1)

At the request of Chief 19-1 Company 22 dispatched class three to the 4500 block of Powells Valley Road for a tree down. As Utility 22 was responding with 6 and Chief 22-1 enroute the box was placed in service by Penndot as nothing found.

AFA, 990 Medical Rd (Box 20-1)

Company 20 and Truck 22 for the out of service Truck 20 dispatched class one to 990 Medical Road in Upper Paxton Township for an automatic fire alarm. Chief 20-3 and Engine 20 with 3 and Truck 22 with 5 went enroute. Command was advised that it was a fire drill and the box was placed in service.

Medical Assist, 437 South Second Street (Box 22-1)

At the request of ambulance 6-2 Company 22 dispatched class three to 437 South Second street in Lykens for a lift assist. Utility 22 responded with 4 and two additional members responded POV to the scene. On arrival the crew used the stair chair to assist EMS with moving the patient from the second floor to their transport unit and then went available.
