Fire occurred at 2:30 PM at William Brockler's house. The company responded promptly and made attachment to the plug at [Nocheas]. They got the fire under control immediately. Damage was slight.
Engine 22 and Tanker 22 were dispatched to the village of Loyalton for a structure fire at the Indian Head Inn. Engine 22 responded with a crew of six. After arriving on scene, the crew made an attack on the fire by laddering the building and going into the second floor to advance the hose line to extinguish fire. Running only from booster tank water, which quickly ran out, the crew was forced to abandon the building. Tanker 22 responded with a crew of two, but had mechanical problems while enroute to the fire and went out of service. Engine 21 was set up on side 2 of the structure, and was eventually fed by Engine 26 (Engine 26's first call) which was drafting from the Wiconisco Creek about 500 feet away. Engine 21 supplied Engine 22 with a 3-inch line. The fire building was written off, and all remaining water was used to protect exposures. A 3 story apartment building across Route 209 from the fire building began to smoke, and a 2? inch line was used from Engine 22 to protect that building. There was spectacular fire that could be seen for many miles, with a large volume of fire visible until the building was totally consumed. Crews from companies 22, 26, 21, and 27 performed mop-up and extinguishment of many hot spots, with a lot of salvage and overhaul performed. Engine 22 lost its 35 foot ladder when the top eight feet caught fire and burned before the ladder could be removed from side 4 of the fire building. Crews went available when released by Command 21.
Company 22 was dispatched to 643 Main Street for a reported chimney fire. Engine 22 responded with a crew of six, and Truck 22 responded with a crew of six. One EMS unit from Medic 6 also responded. Engine 22 arrived on scene and took the A/D corner, finding a two story wood frame duplex with heavy black smoke pouring from a chimney in the center of the roof. Truck 22 arrived on side A, and sent a team to the roof, while the engine crew packed up and sent a crew to the basement. CO readings in the basement were high. The crew shut down the oil burner, pulled the pipe from the wall, and capped the opening - after which the truck crew ran chains to clean the chimney. They found an obstruction in the chimney at a level in the vicinity of the first floor ceiling. The occupants contacted the landlord, who contacted a furnace repairman, who arrived on the scene to repair the problem. After venting the first and second floors with negative pressure, the building was returned to the occupants and the furnace repairman.

Smoke in a Structure, 137 North West Street (Box 24-1)
Companies 24, 23, 66, and Truck 22 were dispatched to 137 North West Street in Williamstown for a report of smoke in a structure. Truck 22 responded with a crew of seven, and was advised to stage at the intersection of Market and West Streets and to send its manpower to side A. Command determined that there was no fire, and placed the box in service.
2015
Cardiac Arrest AED Response, 189 North Street (Box 22-1)
Company 22 dispatched class one to 189 North Street in Lykens to assist EMS on a cardiac arrest call. Engine 22 responded with 6, Utility 22 with 1, and Chief 22 POV and one additional firefighter POV as well. On arrival, PD and Medic 6 all ready on scene. EMS called a signal 12, and the company was placed available.
Truck 22 dispatched class one on the 24-1 box to 132 East Market Street in Williamstown for a garage collapse. Truck 22 responded with 7 and was canceled by Chief 24 while enroute.
Company 24 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 544 west 5th street in Williamstown for a chimney fire. Truck 22 responded with 7 and Utility 22 with 2. The Truck arrived on the D side of a one story trailer with an addition and Engine 24 was on the A side. The crew laddered the trailer and sent a crew to the roof while 24 personnel were interior at the wood stove. Inspection of the chimney from the top found it to be blocked. The piping was pulled from the inside and taken out into the yard. After making sure there was no active fire inside or in the chimney Chief 24 released the Truck.
Company 27 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 219 East Market Street in Gratz for a chimney fire. Truck 22 responded with 5 and on arrival at a 2 story 25 by 40 wood frame single family dwelling was instructed by command to stage on side A and bring the chimney chains to the back roof. Crew assisted with running chains thru the chimney and cleaning out at the base. Crews continued to assist Company 27 until released by Command 27.

Smoke in a structure, 1813 Madison Avenue (Box S.C.)
Truck 22 and Rescue 23 dispatched class one to 1813 Madison Avenue in Porter Township Schuylkill County on a Muir box for a report of smoke in a structure. Truck 22 responded with 5, and as they were arriving on scene side A they were placed available by Muir command.
In the early morning of February 24, 2006, the Millersburg fire company was dispatched for a structure fire at 8 Midland Drive in Upper Paxton Township. All occupants were out of the structure. Firefighters arrived to find a working shed fire with extension into the rear of a trailer. The heaviest fire was at the door of the shed. Firefighters pulled two CAFS lines. One was stretched to the rear of the trailer, and the other one was pulled inside through the front door. The fire was quickly extinguished and the damage was limited to the shed and the rear section of the trailer. Engine 21 and 29-1, Rescue 21 and Tanker 26 crews assisted at the scene. Engine 29-1 was transferred to Station 20 to standby.
